Nice! That wheel looks premium! I have the level 2 wheel, but the alcantera bothers me a bit. I am worried it will start to look worn/bad in a short amount of time! It that happens, I’ll be looking for the wheel you just installed! Thanks for the vid!

Will, I am always impressed with your "Dive In and Do-It" attitude. I had a hard time just installing mud flaps on my TRX. I really like the looks and fitment of your new steering wheel, I will definitely be buying one. Since you mention that you did break some parts, any suggestions so we don't do the same? Good job, I enjoyed it.

Thanks!! I appreciate the love! For the air bag portion I recommend using a tool with a notch in it. That way the spring can’t slide off and you can fully push it out the way. Maybe a 2nd set of hands pulling on the bag might also help while you slide the spring.

I know your TRX didn’t have this option, but do you think there’d be any reason the adaptive cruise control WOULDN’T work if I did a wheel swap? Asking as I have a 2022 Laramie with adaptive cruise control. I would think since you’re using the original steering wheel buttons, the harness is already there, just plug and go? Bonus question: Does your TRX have lane keep assist? If so, curious if your wheel still vibrates after the swap. I don’t want to lose that function lol Thanks bro! Loved the video.

@@bossprodigy I know adding the adaptive cruise control is a basic install, that’s pretty common for those that didn’t have it and doesn’t require changing the wheel. So I’m guessing you’ll be perfectly fine making the switch! Also no lane keep assist for me. My TRX is a base model. No fancy stuff just 700hp lol.

Doing one now, online says 45 ft/lbs. are you sure it’s 65? Also, online manual says use new factory nut. Think it’s fine to reuse the original?

@@Wimya i took an old allen wrench and used my grinder to make a notch in the end. The notch will catch on the wire and allow you to push back and not slide off. I took me less than 5 minutes to get mine off.
