No matter how much we comprehend and understand that words don’t convey the truth . Intuitively sensing and feeling that words have nothing to do with the truth, and yet the need to know about the truth is so strong of a yearning, it is just like a cool rain in the hot desert, while I’m listening to sister Jaya read drops of relaxation and Great Calmness settles inside, makes me feel conscious of this silent isness which is here. I am so thankful for all the hard work and loving energy that I feel through These readings . May you all be healthy and well.🙏

This is particularly a great pointer because I’ve noticed some awake teachers say there’s nothing to do, not even meditation and Ramana Maharshi is very clear that only few attain the light without it. I’ll go back to my meditation now 🙏🕉🙏🕉
@rihhard1072
@rihhard1072 3 жыл бұрын
and even they had already done their meditations 🙂 i agree, its nonsense that you can attain realization without meditation, reading all of the accounts of realized beings its clear they all put in the work, the misunderstanding arises because yes, as Ramana said, at a certain point you simply cant make further effort and your meditation takes on a flow of its own but not without prior efforts

@@rihhard1072 Yea it’s also interesting though that he does ascribe self-inquiry and/or surrender to god as the most potent methods to enlightenment. It confuses me a bit because I know meditation is the golden way at the same time “who am I” or chipping away at the personal “I” is also powerful. Maybe it’s all the same? But my initial take away is that regardless, right effort on a daily basis is a must.

I do not experience this peace. All this self-inquiry stuff is so abstract. Years spiritual searching and I have still not found this peace which is spoken of.
@ash-8012

Thank you for sharing. As long as we take ourselves to be an individual nothing is permanent. There will always be contrast in duality (war/peace, love/hate, up/down, pleasure/pain etc.). Doing the practice of self inquiry does not render us immune to suffering even though there can be instances of deep peace. Only awakening to our true nature (Self realization) will assure permanent peace as it is sat chit ananda (existence, consciousness, bliss). Keep reading/listening to the teachings and reflecting on it, continue the practice of self attention and pray to Bhagavan with deep sincerity and earnestness and He will guide you. Please don't give up hope. He assures us that He will never leave us as long as we sincerely try to follow His teachings. 🙏

@@ash-8012 hi thank you for the reply 🙏 I have been seeking for years - it's just a never ending journey. I do not even know if there is a Self-Realistion. Sure we can keep persisting but I have to get on with my life and I remain deeply unhappy.
@ash-8012
@ash-8012 3 жыл бұрын
@@user-kg8xy8ew7h Thank you. Yes most spiritual seekers have been searching and on the path for many years and even lifetimes. Sri Bhagavan Ramana does not ask us to blindly believe in what He says. He walked the talk and lived an exemplary life of compassion and grace while in human form and His presence is still here to guide us even now when no longer in human form. He explains in Who am I that we are not the mind, body etc. and gives us a rational basis to consider that if we have a mind, body etc. it is our possession and cannot be what we truly are which is pure awareness. So we are not blindly trusting Him when we follow the practice of self inquiry which He Himself used to realize the Self when faced with the great fear of death at the young age of 16. So we can take Him at his word and trust that if we do our part (read/listen/reflect on the teachings and practice self inquiry) in the best way we can He will be there to support us. Suffering and unhappiness can be a great motivator to stay focused on the end goal. If we are content with life why search for a way out? If you have not already viewed this video (or if you have please view a number of times as you get additional insight on each viewing), kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3W5gnaVqq2Feas. please view it and follow the suggestions. Thank you.

Once the seeker is gone then you will experience that peace and bliss. All Self-Enquiry is about is turning seeing into being.
@user-kg8xy8ew7h
@user-kg8xy8ew7h 3 жыл бұрын
@@ananda224 For me self-enquiry doesn't lead to any where. I have no idea what peace and bliss has to do when ''seeking ends''. How is there any escape from what is being experienced in the present moment? The present moment may have bliss, or suffering or whatever.
