Things I love about Japan: 1. The street sizes are so small and unique. Utterly cozy. 2. The cleanliness. You can eat off of the streets. 3. Nature is so beautiful there. 4. The lighting and design of the shops. Such care.

I love this comment. Totally agree with each thing you love-- I love all those details too. The only real negative thing I can say about Japan is that I plunge into an unpleasant state of mind when I return to the UK. I can't help but see the country and the people afresh in comparison to what I'd just experienced in Japan. The verdict is that the UK is full of obnoxious, selfish slobs who turn the streets into ugly dumps and behave like disrespectful, entitled pricks. I tend to keep to myself for the first month back in the UK because I'm too sensitive to the ugliness around me: I go to work and I stay home for that hideous readjustment period. I wonder if anyone else is the same? ;)

Sadly there is no nature there, it's concrete jungle, every square is accounted for, notice how there is barely any glass/ground patches, only bushes and trees with 2x2 square to grow from, no glass fields to walk to your dog, only dedicated parks, this all contributes to cleanliness but it is sad.

Dear Rambalac, thank you so much for this video. I used to live nearby this area (main commute was using Okusawa station), and I spent my weekends strolling around Jiyugaoka and sometimes Ookayama. This brings back nostalgic memories. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Dear Rambalac, beautiful as always, this new walk through the japanese streets, your walks for those (as me) who must comply with strict quarantine, are like an oasis for the mind and soul, it is much! at certain ages, health problems plus economic and labor problems, for what you will understand how refreshing for the soul are your beautiful walks !! Kind and grateful regards from the distant land of Argentina :-)

Thank you so much for sharing this experience. It's very heart warming to know that despite the virus, there is still so much structure in Japan. Another great video. I love how much more efficient Japanese streets are than my American suburban streets. Everything here is oversized and you can't really walk anywhere, you have to drive. Plus all the buildings here look the same where as the building in Japan are unique in some way. Thanks for the video!

Thank you so much for your videos. After being constrained to my house for almost 6 mos because of Covid-19 and seeing no sign of it getting better here in the US , it is so refreshing and peaceful to be able to “get out and about” with you and see lots of other people engaging in normal life and hear their chatter even if I can’t understand the language. Most of all I love seeing the shops as you pass by with an occasional look into them...especially the ones that seem to be noodle shops. YUM. I can almost smell the food and wish I could walk in and have a bowl. Your walks are a wonderful way for those of us who watch to just relax our brains and feel free for a while. I would love to visit Japan one day but given I’m in my 70’s AND an American who is pretty much ostracized by the rest of the world (rightfully so), it’s not likely I”ll get there in person. Your videos are almost as good. I do have a question though. Are you exceptionally tall? Your camera point of view seems to be quite a lot above the people around you so I , at first, thought you might be on a bike. But after watching several videos I don’t think so. You couldn’t have gone so close to the walls or curbs on a bike. You must be actually walking. Is your camera up high above your head. Just curious how you make your videos as people around you seem to be aware of the camera. Have a wonderful day and keep on walking. Paula

Yeah, they have a big thing about not disturbing people, especially on trains. So not being loud is one of them, other countries need to follow their example. They do need to work on a lot of thing, but they are sooo good about so many things too, definitely one of the best countries in the world
@paulolima6407
@paulolima6407 4 жыл бұрын
@@sebastianwalker2200 Yes, they are not perfect, but they are really good on key things. I knew they were specially quiet in subways and trains, but I had no idea this kind of extended to the streets. I also can't get over the fact that Japan is very safe. It really feels like it's in a parallel universe where several things work the way they should. And so much of this is due to decades of an OUTSTANDING educational system. That is: the average japanese citizen is more respectful and educated than the average citizen of several countries.
