Not a vlog, no intrusive faces or talking, pure Japan only.
Finally I made myself to make a hood from wire and black cloth with a bit of glue gun for filming through glass without reflections. And tested it with Chiba monorail. Ride is from Kencho-Mae station to Chishirodai with one transfer at Chiba station.
I took zoomed version on the way back but I ruined it with focusing mistake.
Is it ok to put it into Videowalk playlist? Should I put it in different playlist?
Map www.google.com...
Time 01/28 around 11am
Filmed in UltraHD 4K 60p with Lumix GH5 camera, 8-18 f2.8-4 lens and Beholder EC1 stabilizer.
Feel free to correct my English or suggest a video to film.

It's nice to live in a place where they care about their infrastructure. You don't see New York subways looking like that. Right Mindfulness should be a greater part of other societies in the world. Thanks for that wonderful ride.

We need to spread this to teach others.... If we want a world that looks like we develop quality assurance systems, then we need to put the work in.

I saw these suspended monorails in an anime and for some reason I thought they were made up. I think it's cause they look too cool to be real. A nice surprise, for sure. Much thanks for showing it :)

I wonder if suspended monorails are quieter? I live close to a LRT station (I'm from Malaysia) and the trains make this screechy noise when they go by. It can get loud when you ride on them on some parts of the track.

@SteelRodent I'm more confused about the track structure of this operation, tbh. Typically monorails have the train suspended on or wrapped around a clearly visible single rail, but here it looks more like the trains are riding *inside* the track structure. What exactly is going on here? And is it any more or less flexible than your typical 'jersey barrier in the sky' monorail track?

The Safege system, despite its age, is in my opinion the best of the systems. The Japanese have brought it to perfection here. It's nice to see how little public space is used for such a system, no noise, no shadows, so all inner-city trains should be like that , more space to live and more quality of living.

What a totally cool thing! Here in Detroit we have an on-track monorail but it only does a small loop around the downtown area on a traditional concrete track. The two cabs are refreshed and at least aren't as dated now, but the coolness of that pales compared to this! It's actual, usable, suspended mass-transit ;)

Don’t see the sense of it. What’s the difference if the track is on too of the train or traditionally underneath it? It’s not like there’s no structure for it to ride on. It’s one thing if the track or support rail was eliminated. This is just a different location for it. Seems to me a big waste and definitely not safe. Rather be riding on something underneath me. Just my opinion.

I wonder, how expensive is it to travel around with public transport in Japan?

People mostly use Suica or Pasmo prepaid cards for buses and trains/subway/monorail. It's useful even for tourists. Or you can buy JR or Tokyo Metro Pass for a few days of unlimited use. Taxis are the one to avoid as they are expensive though high quality.

Rambalac thanks for fast reply as usual. So there must be shock of some sort to damping sway after the turn, I did notice it gets kind of noisy on turns.
