@@danielkeogh1488i think diorama is a great compromise that we got from the band both heavy and artistic. but i can see the disappointment if people were expecting another neon ballroom. i think now looking back at their discography diorama is still the best record they put out

jesus christ...i 100% get why daniel wanted to stop writing music like this...and I find everything he touched post 2000 to be near perfect. but, back when he was writing music like this...holy shit _could_ he. this song is musically fascinating as well as just thrilling in general.

He wrote a whole album after Neon Ballroom that was gonna be the heaviest yet. Heaps of songs more like this and Spawn Again but deleted it cos he was sick of doing anger and didn’t want to be stuck in that genre.

His guitar is in A standard. The first chord is a B5 and he hits it at the 2nd fret (based on other videos I've seen).

10 years late but this is wrong. The song is in E Standard, but the 6th string is tuned to B. this means making a power chord shape on the 5th and 6th string makes an octave.
