Thanks, Amber! Great series! Looking so forward to Heartland's season 15 when it airs here in the U.S. Very grateful for such a wonderful family show. My 11-year-old daughter and I have watched every episode twice. As a lifelong "horse person," I love the horses, and I appreciate and value the quality and integrity of both the stories and the cast.

I love your Ramblin Rides with Amber. You mentioned 'If you don't like the weather in Alberta wait five minutes." We say the same thing about weather in St. Louis, MO. I can't believe the suction cup on your phone mount melted. I enjoyed your take on 'dog training'. I don't have dogs so I learned a lot. Not that it inspired me to go out and get a dog 😂. I'm kind of old to start learning how to raise a dog, but your dog training 101 was very interesting. I'm not a techie so I have no idea how difficult it was for you to search out old clips and edit this video. In fact, I just started instagram after I got hooked on Heartland so I could follow you and the other cast members with your posts. I must tell you how appreciative and amazed I am with the fact that you took the time to do all the editing and put out the newsletter after a long day on set. After you're finished filming Season 15 will you do your Ramblin Rides with Amber when you go to the grocery store or on errands? I don't want Heartland to be over so I keep hoping some of those 'commentators' who are always giving us news will say, "There is talk that there will be a Season 16 of Heartland." Well, I've "rambled on" enough. I look forward to your next rambling' report. Stay safe.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one that teaches dogs that way. I've also been using positive reinforcement with training horses, and it works very well. We taught my Highland pony how to kick a yoga ball - with disabled kids, who joined in on the whole process, something different for them to do!

Good info on dog training. I got a new lab pup about 10 days ago. I agree with Amber on a lot of what she had to say and it reinforces my way of training him with respect to crates and rewarding a pet. Thumbs up!
@wildaltarose3 жыл бұрын
Amber you are absolutely right about dogs and crates. We moved two crate trained dogs from Indonesia. Although it was a long trip for them they arrived in wonderful condition. Lufthansa moved them in two stages the first to Munich, where they were taken out of their crates, exercised and kennelled together, then from there to Calgary. The most difficult part was from a very hot climate to our Canadian winter. They even put a new coat on our senior Doberman. She loved that coat and dragged it with her when she wasn’t wearing it.

I so love Rambling Rides with Amber and Rein! I noticed that he seemed to be more relaxed and wanted to be in the picture more on this episode 💙! Rein is so beautiful. II totally agree with you on the crate training and not making a big issue about dog’s behavior. My Shih Tzu loves being in her crate. Like you said it’s her happy place. When I used to work, I would take her with me everyday and she would stay in her crate all day. Truck drivers and employees loved coming into my office yo see her. She would come out so they could pet her and when they left she would go back in her crate. I never had to tell her to do it. This took place even when I wasn’t in my office. Lillie never tried to leave my office. I missed seeing pictures or videos of Betty. I just love some of the face expressions she makes lol. I am so grateful that you take time to share your farm life with us. Hope to come to see itt one day from North Carolina. God bless you! You are truly a inspiration to people!

I love Amber’s view of dog socialization. Dogs, along with most animals, pick up on our emotions. If we show an over abundance of emotion about a situation or experience, they will pick up on that. If we are nonchalant about it, they learn that there’s nothing to be anxious about
