I miss Andrew Ference so much, and the fact that they traded Seguin mainly because they didn't want to "babysit" him is such bullshit because he's still a clutch player.
@noveltyskateteam11 жыл бұрын
hahahaha ya Tyler Seguin is no Loui Eriksson...i think the trade was perfectly fine...Tyler Seguin did so shitty that season he wasn't worth to keep on
@oliviadickens126311 жыл бұрын
No he's not Loui Eriksson but in Dallas he's already up to 15 goals in 26 games when he only scored 16 goals in 48 games last season. I think what we got out of the trade is great because Eriksson has been amazing for us but it's still sad to see players go.
@Blackphillipsupporter10 жыл бұрын
Clutch player? Are you smokin crack? Is that what you call 8 points in 22 playoff games? Seguin is a pure goal scorer, but he didn't fit the Bruins defensive system that's why he had to go. It was a fair swap because Smith and Eriksson are both sound defensively and can add points as well. Seguin is doing much better in Dallas now.
@oliviadickens126310 жыл бұрын
I was talking about how well he's doing for the Stars. Eriksson and Smith have been great assets and it was a fair swap because clearly Seguin is a better fit for Dallas.
@Blackphillipsupporter10 жыл бұрын
Yeah, but you clearly said he was a "clutch" player when he was the furthest thing from that aside from game 2 against the Bolts in the 2011 East Finals.
@33AndAThirdRPM11 жыл бұрын
Every NHL team suffers & is effected by everything you mentioned above.The difference is only the best teams find a way to overcome all the adversity that may face them during the cup run.The Bruins & Hawks both had to overcome injuries,suspect penalty calls,fatigue,etc..However,Chicago found a way to do it better & were justly awarded.But overall I applaud Bergeron who played game 6 with a broken rib & torn cartilage,punctured lung,separated shoulder,mild concussion & .the heart of a lion.

Seguin an amazing talent, but he was not on-side with Julien's defence-first approach...the fit was not there.
@MrManmonkeyman9 жыл бұрын
***** No they aren't the same kind of player whatsoever. Sure they have all-star to elite player kind of qualities but Seguin is a sniper who can go out and score 30-50 goals in a season. Bergeron is a two-way forward who is capable of putting up 20-30 goals and win selke's. They ARE WAYY DIFFERENT IN TERMS OF PLAYING STYLE

Wrong choice trading Andrew Ference, the guy had skill, heart, and strength. He had his teammates backs and he was good on the ice and was a good person off the ice. And they shouldn't have traded Seguin either, but than again... Smith & Eriksson are doing good.

As a Bruins fan who has been at the Bell Centre for Boston vs Habs games I must commend you on your bravery to live in Montreal while sporting a Bruins jersey.Last time I was there for a game I came to the conclusion that most Montreal fans can be crowned as the most ignorant in the entire NHL.I'll never spend another dime in that city.However,the Bruins won that game & a group of us met back at 'La Cage' where we proudly sported our Bruins jerseys,hi-fived & drank some beers as we celebrated.

Also,the Bruins finished 1 point behind the Habs placing them 4th overall in the EC.They then play the Leafs & beat them in the best game 7 comeback of all time.They beat the Rangers in 5,then take on the 1st place EC powerhouse Penguins,beat them 4-0 & outscore them 12-2.Boston then takes on the number one squad in the entire NHL for 6 games.Now,are you beginning to see at all how the Bruins were clearly the better team when compared to the Habs during the 2012-13 season? The numbers don't lie.
@LoneWolfie8910 жыл бұрын

Just a little information for you to digest about one of the Bruins propects:Ryan Spooner-5'10"-175lbs-finished #1 in Rookie scoring with 57 points during the 2012-13 AHL season playing with the Providence Bruins & finished 17th in overall AHL top scorers.Now,here's where gets real interesting,...Last year the Providence Bruins finished 1st overall in the AHL with 105pts.The Habs AHL Hamilton Bulldogs club finished dead last with 64pts.So,it appears that the Bruins prospects are indeed better.

Love these kind of docs, the trade signaled the end for Chiarelli and the Bruins. Seguin has become a star in Dallas, but his team is terrible, Chiarelli, with the help of McDavid, Talbot, and some luck has resurrected himself in Edmonton, and the Oilers are up and coming, the B's have struggled the past few seasons, fired their coach, but are now being reborn in the playoffs against the Sens,
@imaratspal3 жыл бұрын
The irony that they gave up on Seguin after his 3rd season, at age 21 is completely lost on everyone in that room. President Cam Neely, when exactly did the Canucks give up on you? How did that turn out for them? You only needed 1 guy to realize that.

Here's my favourite excuse that Montreal fans used in 1955 to justify one of their riots:"Maurice Richard was handed a stiff suspension when he broke his stick over a Bruins player & hit a linesman.Habs fans rioted in protest of the ruling,which many interpreted as a prejudicial decision based in part on Richard's francophone heritage.There were roughly 100 arrests & $100,000 worth of property damage." Yeah right,breaking a stick over a player & hitting a linesman was not the reason to suspend.

I love Seguin.. but really as much as I hate to admit it, he wasn't much of a fit for Boston's gamestyle. However, Eriksson and Smith were not really an equal substitute....Both Eriksson and Smith have really stepped up (Especially Smith) and have become pretty vital parts of the team, but as far as value goes Seguin is now Elite, and we really didn't get as much as we should have for them. Oh well... moving on I guess.. hopefully the Bruins organization learns from this and is able to not make the same mistake with other young talented players *cough cough Pastrnak cough cough*

no one says you ignore hockey, or that you suck as fans. in a small city w 3 other championship caliber teams that have been here an avg of 70 years, hockey can get short shrift and the fans get emotional about just getting the b's the recognition in this town. we're not just cheering for our team on the ice, but are competing off the ice vs the pats, sox n celtics. the point is, it surprises a lot of players who come to boston, that they hear it from the fans for everything they do.

How would I be contradicting myself to a timeline when the Bruins were actually in the cup finals last season?It is also irrelevant that the Habs were 3-1 against Boston last season as they fell to the 7th place Sens in 5 games & were outscored 20-9.The youngest NHL team riddled with injuries crushed your Habs,There was no chance the Habs would meet the Bruins from the get go.Habs are now just a hollow shell of itself compared to what it once was.The eternal Hab flame has been extinguished.
