Rockstar made a statement about five m and rp and there cool with it just don't want and licence issues with company's like apple Ferrari etc so they need to either fully own the car model and have no badges on it or remove them

Rockstar is removing all real brands from its game to avoid licensing issues. Clothes, Cars, etc. Its why a lot of custom servers were also shut down out right for having real world stores like Apple and Mc Donalds, etc

Some of the cars were converted to badgeless meaning they can stay, but doing that to 150 cars with devs working on hardcore will take a while, probably a month or two and players will have their cars back
