That legislation was mainly added because Sunny Brooks and she has been asking the council to let her make her own church for over a month. The mayoral office approval was added because the counicl was worried people might exploit the fact that priests are not mandated reporters. Basically if someone confesses to a priest, the priest doesnt legally have to report it to the PD. It has nothing to do with Johnson.

Their is a lot of issues that still need to be worked on. Crane gave the people in the council meeting them for trial. This includes Alex and Michael when they went to buy guns not only could you buy both guns at the same time, you had no limit and the guy would let you keep buying them. The Glock also didn’t take the ammo so their a lot of bugs to figure out before they do roll out.

*The reason these laws are getting passed is because “Crane” is two positions. He's chief justice, and his grandson the police officer. So, he's just passing stuff that helps PD smh. Also, the Devs set the city up without constant state funding. So, the police aren't paid through the state. They are paid through fines and taxes (hence the property tax/Business ta/ and all the stupid fines for clothes etc) This server won't last very long. Sad to say! Every law passed is strictly to benefit the police department. They passed laws to evade consequences from the Jonson incident! I just wish there were more checks and balances. This server will lose great role players if they aren't allowed to grow their character because the police need money and make legislation based on individual incidents. This is just my opinion though*

@@DubhghlasMacDubhghlas a bit of context on his comment. There was supposed to be a budget. And the taxes and fines are supplemental funds on top of that state budget. There is no actual budget though. The only funds the PD has is 150k. There is a clip between “Slacks” and “Cornwood” where they break it down and why there's no money for cars and more officers. So, they decided to change laws to create fines and property seizures to fund the PD. That isn't how things work. Yearly taxes help fund the state departments. But there is a budget from the state that is specifically for paychecks and upkeep. No pixel doesn't have that. So the only money coming through PD is from other RP’ers. They are getting the money through foul play. Eventually, people will lose their property, go bankrupt and be unable to pay the 100k for a business, 150k to get your record expunged so you can actually work. 20k+ for a new vehicle. And whatever else they charge. Therefore people will leave the server because it's impossible to survive when the RP’ers that are making the laws, are also police officers. Because they make laws strictly based on the PD. Example. The laws made to protect themselves from the “Johnson” lawsuit. That was low. I agree with everything the Grouch person said. I think a lot of people do.

Eight people deciding everything on the server does not work. It is so restrictive to peoples RP . If I wanted to watch RP that mimics real life, I would go outside and watch people. I thought the whole point of this server was for people to play a character that is an over the top version of that character. Show us a type that you only see in movies, but with the added part of unpredictability of it being live. Maybe things go their way, maybe they dont. Who knows. Its the whole reason I started watching nopixel. I am all for the server trying new things, but not when it restricts someones RP so heavily. I lik CG because I think they allow people to fully immerse themselves in their character, so people dont hesistate to go over the top.

I use to watch 3.0 and there were times it was like watching a movie, my heart would race, it was so exciting. And now that I know behind closed doors a handful of people have added so many limits, that are also biased af. It just makes it not fun anymore. They’ve restricted SO much RP over the last 2-3 years, it’s disheartening. I can’t watch 4.0 hardly at all lol.

I am not someone who gets invested in streamers, why I don't watch any of this live. I just watch KZbin videos clips. You try and make others feel bad for being invested in something they enjoy. Yes, some do it to an unhealthy point. But, that does not mean we all do. I just want to see the streamers vision of the character and all of the unpredictability that comes with it.

And there were Chrisitan nations that only Christianity was allowed. Same in Islamic nations also. Thus, it is not socialist law. Does the lawyer legislation only applies to lawyers who are working in prosecutor roles? Because while you may do work in the court house and the police station you don’t do work out of those buildings. Like you don’t have an office at the police station or the court house that you work out of, those are just places you go to represent clients. Everyday it seems more and more like Los Santos is in Soviet Russia instead of the US.

I think the legistlation is something you can argue a bit but it really depends on what the pd wants to do. Say Ramee comes to represent someone and they just take his dna by force, I don't see that not being past them. It's mostly how who sees it and if high-command gives a go of taking Ramee's dna if he won't give it.. that's a wrap. They are just shooting themselves in own foot by passing these thru. It is like THE arc of waiting and seeing Ramee get caught because he is not even trying to stay out of jobs 😂 Dude is just running around there robbing people and places, so if cops cannot catch him that's on them... but everyone should let it play out as long as it does.

To be fair, this is something that has happened RL in USA. Laws were enacted to require a particular "stamp" to lawfully possess certain kinds of guns. Catch was, the government never created a process, nor intended to, in which they would issue those stamps. This made it defacto illegal. When challenged in Supreme Court, they sided with the Federal Government. After that was decided, the same legislators made another law using same language to make it illegal to possess marijuana without a proper stamp. When that was challenged, they sited president establish with the gun stamp law. That being said, looks like they want to establish a protected status for clergy and more specifically, their privileged information when someone confesses to them. Making a confession to clergy on par with speaking to your lawyer. So if it wasnt for the confusion about obtaining a certification declaring you to be an Ordained Minister, this would be a good law. Edit: but also this seems odd. To my knowledge, from my parents (RIP) who were both ordained ministers, that comes from the establishment of the church, not a government body. In their case, their licenses came from the Church of God denomination, not the state or federal government.
