if there are some vehicles they would not be allowed to make, like firecracker they could use different designs like a dodge ram srt-10 or older cars what would you think about that?

I think that Hasbro* (I was wrong; it wasn’t Mattel) might actually have been doing Ramen Toy a solid by telling them to quit making this edition. Instead of shutting RT down about this, they apparently just wanted the product to not be as similar to the original MASK toyline. Ramen Toy is still making the car and its “masked” driver in a second edition, and the only thing that seems to be missing is the retro-style packaging and art. Pretty tolerant of Hasbro, imo. *Kenner originally made the MASK toyline, but Hasbro bought Kenner and now owns MASK, too.

Well, it’s not like Ramen Toy caused this to happen. Their intent was to produce the original version. They were legally threatened by the trademark owner, Hasbro. I think it’s good that the next one will be cool in its own ways. The original release will be the only one that has all the retro vibes, but getting the next version doesn’t mean that someone is getting something less. I saw the packaging that’s supposed to be used for the next version in one of Tydirium Hanger’s videos, and it looked really good, too. 👍

@@mp_reviews I wonder if this means Hasbro has plans to revisit M.A.S.K. in the near future and this would be competition for them? They did have a rather large display of vintage M.A.S.K. toys at their Hasbro Archive pop up store during San Diego Comic Con when they very easily could have just had a few pieces on display.

@@TheBoglinYeah, maybe. They didn’t kill Ramen Toy’s MASK homage projects, they just killed the first version of the Gullwing (aka, Thunderhawk). Maybe they’re letting Ramen Toy continue to prime the fan base for a new official MASK toyline by Hasbro. Ultimately, Ramen Toy’s projects could be used unofficially by Hasbro as promotion of the franchise and maybe market research. 🤔👍
