Well not quite, since the 4th dimension is time- it exists, we can perceive it, we just can’t move in every direction. If Ramiel was 4D it’d be moving throughout time.

@@saacattaac007 Time is not a dimension as 1-3. If you have seen the film flatlander. that shows what a 2D being would see when a 3D being decided to interact with their plan of existence. Time is more of a progression of events and not a shape that can be drawn or modeled. A tesseract is a 4th dimensional shape. If Ramiel could move through Time, would have been able to erase it's own death or avoid it entirely. The only thing time would help Ramiel do would be to charge up it's beam attack quicker

Ramiel was a Fortress, but Humanities ability to fight back was also AMAZING! Like place it on humans to just have a prototype project in which they out put a whole countries powergrid to fire two shots of pure focused destruction. Again, what I loved about this battle was that it wasn't even an Eva(s) getting up close and personal with Ramiel, but the fact that it took heavy quick preparation, strategic, and preciseness to kill this angel. All the communication between countty infrastructure and Nerv to prep and reroute power to substations to feed the Positron Rifle was fucking AMAZING!! I loved that in the first round they fired, you can see the power of all that energy at once vaporizing nearly anything and everything within it's path.

Nothing says "unstoppable alien threat" like a giant octahedron that can't even be bothered to move as it shrugs off all of your attack attempts. In Rebuild it looks like it's actually putting in effort which takes away from that feeling of invincibility. That being said, multidimensional shapeshifting IS cool.

I always thought Ramiel as a 4D being but it wouldn't really make sense. To understand it, grab a paper, and a pen, then draw a stick man and a circle, as 3D being you can touch what inside the circle and outside the circle at the same time, but the stick man cannot do it. If Ramiel trully a 4D being, drilling to reach Geofront wouldn't make any sense, he could just go there like we just touch the inside of the circle.

now that you mention it katsuragi looks similiar and reacts similiar to how nadia does. shinji also got a similiar body form. watched it by coincidence. so the jewel form has smth. to do with that story. quite a few bullethell shooters also use this form. most notably radiant silvergun, psyvariar and raiden. considering the philosophy of such games they fall in line with the anime somewhat. ofc the core message and goal is fundamentally different. in the anime it is struggle to survive, while in the games they use perfection as the ultimate goal rather than outliving.
