It's hard to believe after watching this that his voice would only get better and better. Saw him in Funny Girl last year, and wow, what a voice. His renditions of this song now are even more musical than when he sang it here. I hope there is a recording made of him in POTO in Italy, which starts in a couple of weeks.

Ramin's vocals and his power as the Phantom have gotten so much stronger over the past years. His Music Of The Night performance at POTO's 25th anniversary was magical... Not to mention that he is my most favorite Phantom.

I love the way he is so focused on his part even though it is a talk show. Most phantoms just sing it, he is in full Phantom mode.

I saw Ramin when he was in POTO, and after seeing the film countless times with Gerard Butler, this guy literally blew me away! He was amazing, i had tears in my eyes the whole time he was singing! My friend at uni teaches his son swimming, and apparently he's really really lovely in person!! I'm seeing him in LND on friday, so excited, after buying the soundtrack, i have a feeling "Till I Hear You Sing" will send shivers down my spine once again! Love Ramin!

I was fortunate to see Ramin in the phantom of the opera in august 2009. After than I saw David Shannon and Stephen John Davies and listened to lots of recordings but none of them impressed me so much with an exception of Thomas Borchert and Masachika Ichimura. I also saw Ramin in Love Never Dies. He was amazing!

Oh, he does the lower version, how I love it! If you're a bit into 'real' opera as well, check Peter Hofmann's German phantom, they lowered it for him a bit as well and I think for a true phantom, lower notes just sound more creepily wonderful. :)

duh..they always do a faster arrangement on these type of shows...they don't have the time to do full out musical numbers...the actual number is 6 or 7 minutes long...they have about 2-3 to do it in typically

Remember Ramin is iranian born and grew up in Canada, add that to the fact he's been living in England for like the last 5 or 6 years and his accent is a little jumbled. That makes his pronounciation a little odd. His performance in London won the show a Theatregoers Choice award in 2001, so he can't be so bad. Plus this was 2007, if you go to now and compare his voice in the released Phantom 2 song "Till I Hear You Sing" and compare it with this you'll see he's a lot better now

@chika130 I agree... I LOVE Ramin as Enjolras in Les Mis... he is perfect for that part because of his vocal power and depth. He makes it so real and believable. I love his voice, but he really is not that great of a slow song or low note singer, he ends up sounding more like he is singing whispers. Even some of his other songs on here show that his strength is with deep powerful vocals.

He has got a good voice indeed - but the song seems greatly speeded up from the version I heard. Does anyone know if that was just for the tv show or if the stage version rewrote it as faster. Also how bizarre to invite two guests on to perform a song in which only one person actually sings. Poor Robyn - "Come on the show and Brightman at the cameras for a while..."

Ramin tends to power through a lot of his songs... has way too much power for the phantom role. No doubt he has an amazing voice, but the feeling and emotion is off with a lot of his performances. Compare with Hugh Panero's phantom where the effect and feeling for the phantom is much better.
