I woke up today thinking of this song, I took voice as a younger man, n thought I wonder if gorgeous Ramin sings it.. n sure enough he does.. n beautifully done.. this may sound weird ..I love watching his eyebrows and facial expressions as he gets into the song.. to me that shows the real emotion of how much it really means to him.. which in turn is shared with us.. Thankyou Ramin.. 💖😍👍

Not weird at all, Robb, that’s what, for me, makes him such a fantastic singer. Have watched him on KZbin and in his concert all the time through lockdown. 👏🥂

Last summer(2013) I saw Ramin in a small club similar to the Village Vanguard that Barbra sang in her youth in lower Manhattan. The tickets were about $25.00. Audience held about 75 people. This was before Ramin went on tour in Canada in Les Mis. I can't tell you what a wonderful evening.........I'm waiting for Love Never Dies. He sings with such emotion (vocally I am not comparing him to Caruso......never have I seen this in a performer other then great tenors. Thank you Ramin for sharing your wonderful voice in an affordable setting.

Ooohhh come on, that's unfair! Why can't this happen here in Italy, other than in my dreams? He is said to own a house down in Sicily... if so, we would all love hime to hit it more often and drop a couple of evenings here and there, something very relaxed, just for fun, with a few devoted fans and a few unaware people who would never recover from it XD... OMG He is perfect in this song.

I am sorry I don't remember the comment. I have seen Ramin in a small club here in NYC before doing Les Mis. I am a big fan of him. I hope whatever I wrote wasn't take negative. I saw Richard Kylie in the original Man from La Mancha on Broadway and Ramin was much better. Again my apologies.

To dream the impossible dream To fight the unbeatable foe To bear with unbearable sorrow And to run where the brave dare not go To right the unrightable wrong And to love pure and chaste from afar To try when your arms are too weary To reach the unreachable star This is my quest To follow that star No matter how hopeless No matter how far To fight for the right Without question or pause To be willing to march, march into Hell For that Heavenly cause And I know if I'll only be true To this glorious quest That my heart will lie peaceful and calm When I'm laid to my rest And the world will be better for this That one man, scorned and covered with scars Still strove with his last ounce of courage To reach the unreachable The unreachable The unreachable star And I'll always dream the impossible dream Yes, and I'll reach the unreachable star

I had hoped to find a cover of this song some day. I've heard some of the greats sing it: Samuel Ramey, Andre Bochelli, Jim Neighbors....Mr. Karimloo's version is different, softer (more introspective)...no less majestic than the others, however.

Gorgeous voice, BUT.......... Just not a very satisfying characterization of the song since I've seen some truly great singer-actors portray Alonzo Quijana / Don Quixote on stage including the legendary Richard Kiley. I saw Richard Kiley in Man of La Mancha years ago in Detroit in my early teens and he was so mesmerizing I can remember it like it was last night.
@MultiDoolin9 жыл бұрын
Kim Millard Having had success in the part, myself, I can say that Karim is not trying to recreate Quixote in the musical. He's using his extraordinary voice to put his stamp on the song. He does that, brilliantly! I believe, if he essayed the role, he would bring an entirely different acting measure to it. Remember, Quijana, as Quixote, is a weak and doddering old man when he sings this song in the show. Love to see him do it.
