​@@kadiraydin7478 They actually just pointed out a specific point regarding German politics (actually for quite some time already, the aching past always overshadowing anything achieved afterwards) which is that politicians less care about the own people but more about taking in EVERYONE without exception while doing nothing for the people in the country besides inventing and raising taxes to feed more and more people living on the wellfare of the nation without bringing in anything into the country. Many of those people aren't even adapting to society nor are they abiding the law. Many people also do not aim their hate towards these new immigrants overall (though, nobody likes the really outlining & troublesome outlaws ofc [the "refugees"] ), but instead targeting straight for the government as they dictate politics towards a borderless nation of wellfare ... even supporting them towards gaining these benefits --- for anyone, except for the people [already] living here. The government (country aswell as EU) is the actual rooting issue for the problems and unfairness. Honestly, those coming here now, who could honestly even blame them for taking such chance and opportunity? At that point, that ain't _ racist. At all. That is openly pointing out current time's reality --- though, . But it is racism not against foreign countries' people but against the own population. (And yes, such form of government really does exist -- happens often enough & already for yet so much time, so that there is already a real term for the most severe & extreme form of this policy: Democide. ( = _a government killing off the own people._ ) ) The government being actually racist against its own people is a bitter "black pill" to swallow here, though only if one comes to realize at all. Bitter reality, being talked about here aswell as sang about in this song's lyrics, as our past is being treated as a constantly lingering shadow here and people literally indoctrinated towards hating themselves for crimes commited by a generation that lived before our grandparents [for some, even their grandgrandparents] nowadays. But that ain't a reasonto get worried or be afraid here. *We all love this song, too. ;)* _... but even so more it is resonating in our minds here, aswell._

Mannn....I'm brazilian from german ancestry, and this music hits very deep inside. Mother side emmigrated before the unification, they came from Holstein. Father side was involved with national socialism and managed to scape to South America after WW2. I'm big fan of Rammstein, in fact I had a cover band (small stuff, just for fun) here in South Brazil, where I live, near Argentina and Uruguay. Till and Rammstein rocks, but they could show something about germans who had to emigrate, mostly to USA and Brazil (very big ethnic population in South Brazil), because I know germans dont know much about this part of Germany history! For many reasons: many german collonies since BEFORE WWII in Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Chile, easy to pass as just one more german immigrant, governments that simpatized with national socialism, like Perón in Argentina, Strössner in Paraguay, and alot of places to hide. But not all of them have this kind of "connection". Many german immigrants came here in XVIII, XIX centurys.

Wer »Deutschland« von Rammstein für ein positiv zu Deutschland stehendes oder gar nationalistisches Lied hält glaubt auch, dass Bruce Springsteens »Born in the USA« ein stolz zu den Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika stehendes Lied ist. Für mich ist die Wortwahl ein Beleg mehr dafür, wie tiefgründig und hintersinnig der Liedtext von Rammstein ist. Der Treppenwitz der Geschichte liegt allerdings darin, dass besagte Liedzeile unbedingt im historischen Kontext von 1840 herum gesehen werden muss: Hoffmann von Fallersleben wollte ausdrücken, dass die Einheit Deutschlands als Nation über den Partikularinteressen der damals circa 40 Fürsten und Staaten des 1815 auf dem Wiener Kongress gegründeten Deutschen Bundes stehen müsse. Mitnichten wollte er damit ausdrücken, Deutschland stünde über anderen Nationen wie Frankreich, Großbritannien oder Russland. Ein Rocklied als Nationalhymne und eine Schwarze als Figur der Germania - so weit ist dieses Land noch nicht - um mal so doppeldeutig zu antworten wie Rammstein textet ;-)

A title of a channel is 'Don't trust the rabbit' if I am not mistaken. A women explains there some German rules and she tells about German culture in a simple way. I advise you to check it out!

As a native German, I have identification difficulties. I am a Rhinelander. Point. It is exactly this view, that is of concern here. We are a Nation "so jung und doch so alt". We hate each other, for odd historic reasons, and we don't like foreigners (a simplified scale would say," the further away you are from us, the more we dislike you"). A song like "Deutschland" is therefore a difficult undertaking, lest you take the obvious path and end up being viewed as obviously right-winged band.I do think they managed to get around that problem in an intelligent way, and deliver a song I could accept as unofficial national anthem.

Those who rise high shall fall low. It is a dichotomy we are facing here: admiration and contempt. Like Heinrich Heine said:"wenn ich an Deutschland denk in der Nacht, bin ich um den Schlaf gebracht." The song itself uses wonderful prefixes outlining these dichotomies: überlegen/überheblich (superior/arrogant), überdrüssig (saturated)/überflüssig (superfluous). And, of course, Über allen. I like "popular" songs with an intelligent Text, especially when the music isn't stupid. The new anthem of Germany? Nice idea, but I'm afraid it's too complicated. I wish you a good evening, Mykola.
