Rammstein (German pronunciation: [ˈʁamʃtaɪn], lit. "ramming stone") is a German Neue Deutsche Härte band formed in Berlin in 1994. The band's lineup-consisting of lead vocalist Till Lindemann, lead guitarist Richard Kruspe, rhythm guitarist Paul Landers, bassist Oliver Riedel, drummer Christoph Schneider, and keyboardist Christian "Flake" Lorenz-has remained unchanged throughout their history, along with their approach to songwriting, which consists of Lindemann writing and singing the lyrics over instrumental pieces the rest of the band has completed beforehand. Prior to their formation, some members were associated with the punk rock acts Feeling B and First Arsch.

Hey in Rostock there is the Werner Lindemann School. Werner Lindemann was a very successful children's book author in the GDR and is the father of Till Lindemann. Till's lyrics are unique. I think that maybe Till got the talent from his father to be able to write such profound, ingenious texts. Let's look forward to many more lines full of depth and truth from Till.

Hi guys, thanks for all the lovely comments! But I just wanted to make sure you all understand. Dad is anxious at times . He can’t sit still because he gets so much into it. And enjoys it. I've been listening to Rammstein since I was around 11. I'm 33 now and they're still going strong! The whistling is 100% real, recorded by the guitarists, but usually played for the live shows as it's pretty damn hard to whistle in tune live haha. You're right, engel is angel in German. The reason Till moves slowly is because those wings were a mixture of titanium and steel, and really damn heavy because of the weight of the metal along with the propellant for the fire. Flake the keyboard player walks on a treadmill whilst playing because he used to get bored on stage whenever he was just playing background music. In the Du Hast video, his treadmill powers a van de graff generator which created the lightening effect from his fingers. It was obviously enhanced for the dvd release but that actually happened during the concert and was 100 real. Till is a qualified pyrotechnic technician which is why they can safely use fire effects and explosions during their concerts. He was also signed up as an Olympic swimmer in Germany, which is why he's so buff and has a huge lung capacity. Side note; you'd never think that Till suffers from extreme stage fright but he does. This is partly why he loves audience participation and pyrotechnics as a distraction from the focus being on him.

not just Till that is a pyrotechnic, the whole band is. that why they get away with show like that. But Till is also qualified to make the fireworks and so design them.

The "gauntlets" are the fuel pump control for the flaming wings. See original video for Deutschland and see the wings again... While I love your ode to drummer Christophe Schneider, the waving sticks...was too much here, for me, anyways.

the wings i believe weigh between 110 to 120 lbs 49.9 to 54.5 kg..... around there but yes they are definitely heavy!!
