Love this song. My second favorite song. This is basically about the darkest form of sadomasochism. Inflicting pain on someone to feel good. At least that's how you get the first impression. The plot twist, however, is at the end, because everything he has said, he sings into a mirror. That means, he inflicts this pain on himself. And we also have a little magic trick here. The song is about self-harm/masochism. The lyrics are written as if one person is talking about torturing and harming another person, but in reality they're talking to themselves, or at least their mental self is talking to their physical self. This is revealed with the lyric "I see your face in the mirror" and also "You are the ship, I (am) the captain".

Rammstein, the Bandname is based on the us military airport.In 1989 or so was a Show for the Audience and then A airplane crashed and 20 people died in flames!!😳😳.True story..the airbase was in germany and the band takes the name of the airbase. It was the 28th august 1988 and a italian pilot fly his looping wrong and crashed with two other jets and crashed into the audience..70 civilians died and hundred people was injured..

This is a really top notch song, everything about is stop on. Just totally love the drawn out note in the vocals. See how the keyboardist went into the tub with a fire proof coat, and got out without it? The song is about the relationship between a slave and has owner. That's all I know. There's another sketch where the tub is a giant tin bath of many moons ago, and the tub gets raised, and is brutally attacked by fire from underneath, cooking the keyboardist alive. At least, that's what we're meant to believe. Til is a pyrotechnics, and explosives expert. (Handy guy to have around at awkward times). But aren't they tight as a band. Tight as a ducks backside, and that's watertight.

I don't care if you pronounce Rammstein right. Actually it is already pretty well. But Ramm- you have to pronounce with a "A"-sound like in "fun" or "Arnold". Concerning the song, you better don't look up the english translation of the lyrics. It might confuse you. But whatever you think, keep in mind he sings basically about himself (Ich seh im Spiegel dein Gesicht _I see in the mirror your face_ ). It will not confuse you less, but maybe change a little bit the perspective :D
