This song is deep. Did you hear the autotune in Till's voice? In my opinion, many modern singers lie to themselves and have to rely on tools and autotune to sound better. I also think this song could be a condemnation of social media because people present themselves there what a great life they have, but in reality most are lying to others and themselves again.

Their albums matured as well as them. But they still kept a little bit of their original silliness. Many people disliked their latest album because it is not what they expected (mainly because of the sound) But if you get over your own expectations and stop seeing Rammstein in this old area of their early songs you will find out that their latest album is a masterpiece. I love the old Rammstein, I love the prime Rammstein and I love the matured Rammstein as much as all the others. Each and everything has its place and its time. And Rammstein was and is always on point for me. Poor people who cannot see it because of their own expectations and bounded minds.

How could anyone dislike the latest album. Every song is so good. The main thing I hear is people complaining about autotune on this song. BUT that is the point the song is about lies. He even lies to himself. The auto tune is him disguising the pain he feels. Also the final moments of the song build to another verse and dropout instantly. Lying yet again. It is masterful. To me it is insane to criticize artistic choices, even if you didn't like the song itself, when it is so subjective and personal what hits people. This one hits different.

Thank you for listening to this song! 🖤 It is definitely most personal Rammstein song to me. Everytime I listen to it, I imagine that perfect life he describes... and then I feel that anger and frustration about life and myself, just the way he sings. The song is surely about something completely different from how I understand it, but I don't even care about "true" meaning of it, because it is so damn meaningful to me and my current life that I cannot ignore it. It hits me so hard everytime I listen to it. 💔 And it is another one from my top 5 Rammstein songs (you have heard two of them by now, three to go! 😉). 🖤

This song is so deep and emotional, almost like a proof of maturity of the band. I'd really like to know who had the idea of using autotune/pitch correction in the "climax" of the song. It adds strength to the lyrics and gives "Lügen" emphasis like if it was a confession. True genius IMHO.

Flake, the keyboardist wrote something like this song in one of his books once. Something along the lines "I lie so much nowadays. What happened to me?" I think this song, and most others, come from the entire band.

My favourite song from their latest album. First half is like 'a wonderful world'. Second half is 'The hard, cold and brutal truth'. This song fits to most of the Twitch Cowboys and Instagram Warriors. They show the perfect world, but when the camera is off and the last image uploaded, they give a f**k. It is fully understandable that this song feels personal. Everyone is guilty to some extend (lying to his parents about the missing cookies/candies). Keep up the good work.

Das ist mein lieblings Lied vom aktuellen Album 🙏🤩😍🤗 das ganze Album ist eigentlich so fantastisch.... eigentlich dreht sich das Album um das Leben. Von Geburt an bis zum Tod... Adieu ist auch extrem Gefühlvoll. Gerade diese Lieder auf dem Album sind fantastisch. Man muss sich WIRKLICH in den Liedern Beziehungsweise den Texten hineinfallen lassen.

Btw, yes, I agree on what you said about their albums and how they progressed. If I am not subjective and nostalgic I can say that "Zeit" album is their best (for me). However, "Mutter" album is the one that made me fall in love with Rammstein and I place it together with "Zeit". Anyway, I was thinking even to suggest you to do the whole "Zeit" album because it is really good and I know you will love most of the songs, if not all of them.

I get goosebumps every single time I hear this song. As most of Rammsteins songs there are more interpretations of the lyrics. I think this song also criticize how common lying in modern social media is. You only post fotos and stories about good things. Everything e.g. on insta looks beautiful and perfect. I think the pressure for this perfection is even greater for celebrities. And this social critical interpretation also fits to other songs on the album like Angst or ZickZack.

Aunque suene loco, la primera vez que escuché Lügen inmediatamente mi cabeza me llevó al tremendo clásico de los 80's de Falco "Jeanny". Se que las diferencias son amplias pero me resultó imposible no relacionar como ambas comienzan con una melodía exquisitamente tranquila y luego Falco y Till recitando la letra para luego explotar en el momento perfecto , ambas provocaron en mi una sensación emocional muy similar. No quiero que me malinterpreten por favor, sólo estoy contando una experiencia personal que deseaba compartir. Lügen es una de mis canciones favoritas de este álbum. Sólo eso quería contarles. Nice reaction guys. You know I think this song encapsulates Rammstein so well and Til. People sometimes are weary of the band because they are so direct at exposing emotions. Whether it is society, expectations or conventions how true are we to our self. We paint pictures that we are decent honest tolerant people because we want to be accepted and seem reasonable. Most people tend to shy away from controversy. The truth is nearly always more ugly than the lies we make to hid our own deficiencies.

You could even apply this song to social media and the facade that many put out there to the world. They show this perfect life with all these great things, but never show the real moments when kids are crying, or when things aren’t perfect. In that way they are lying to you and to themselves about who they really are.

On another note, I'd LOVE you to react to Rammstein - Radio. It's from the 2019 Untitled album, and it touches the very interesting topic of living in East Germany in their youth and the role of said radios in it :). Also, it's a faster and very dance-able song. Highly recommend!

Honestly hearing this song for the first time broke me. I've been a fan of this band for 16 years and their depictions of love is so accurate. I've been in so many relationships that start off sunshine and meadows that end up crashing down.

Till is not talking about himself here, but about liars in general. Here, regardless of the lyrics, there is also a lie musically built in, which makes the song so special and that is autotune over Till's voice. The biggest lie in the music business in addition to full playback in live concerts.

Je suis pas fan de l’auto tune à outrance dans la musique actuelle, mais les rammstein l’utilise pour illustrer un propos, comme la mise en abîme du mensonge dans Lügen ou symboliser l’empoisonnement dans giftig. Bref les rammstein comme on aime ! I'm not a fan of excessive auto-tune in current music, but the rammstein use it to illustrate a point, like the mise en abyme lie in Lügen or to symbolize poisoning in giftig. I love it .

Dominika, Till's side project Lindemann did a whole album in English so it may be worth reacting to something from there after what you were saying about not understanding the German? Some songs are more er.. controversial/sexual (? 😅) than others though so depends if you're comfortable with that content on your channel or not

Hallo und Grüße aus Deutschland. Ich schaue gerne eure Videos, aber ihr stoppt meistens genau im falschen Moment. Dazwischen redet ihr dann auch viel zu viel und so könnt ihr die Lieder nicht wirklich genießen. Ihr stoppt auch oft kurz bevor das Lied vorbei ist. Lasst es einfach bis zum Schluss laufen und danach darüber reden. Schön wäre es auch wenn ihr den Untertitel einschalten würdet und auch die automatische Übersetzung in Deutsch müsst ihr nur einschalten. Trotzdem Danke! Habt ihr schon Rammstein - Bück Dich (Live in Montreal 2012). Unbedingt durch laufen lassen und ohne Unterbrechungen.
