I suggest to look at some live versions from this summer, their stage was insane, never have I seen anything like that before. Mindblowing. Edit: the story is about the cannibal as you said and the guy he met on the internet who wanted to be eaten. When they met the guy wanted to taste himself, they cut off his wienie (mein in german is "my" and teil is a "piece"/"part"), cooked it and when they were about to eat it/or were eating it, the guy fainted. Didn't survive. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I saw them in Copenhagen this summer and you're right, they have outdone themselves !!! And they often give concerts, which is an absolute must see. They have developed little stageshows for almost each of their songs, it's more like a theater show with the most awesome energy flooring you from the minute they walk onto the stage. They push boundaries (what other band had to release a song (Pussy) on Redtube, because it was too naughty for youtube?). They remain a rare bread of musicians these days with lyrics to take a dig at society, trends or human nature amongst many things. Give yourself a treat and go see them live, and if you can catch them performing in their native Berlin you will experience the most heartwarming seance ever. Enjoy

The funny thing is, when they filmed their cameo in Triple X (Vin Diesel Action-flick) they somehow had to rely on the production's pyro-team, and they...kinda overdid it, apparently. There's an interview where they say something along the lines of "we were fine. Eyebrows, not so much."

I can only recommend to watch some of this summer's concerts from their stadium tour. Excellent pyro effects while "du hast", hellfire during Sonne. Puppe is completely sick, the light during "du riechst so gut" and "ich will" just unbelievable. They took it to another level. I've seen them 4 times this year and have 5 tickets for next year, I'm totally addicted to this show.

If you love the flamethrower in this live version, you need to look up a live version or even just the video of "Feuer Frei". You will be amazed by that video or live seesion. I was fortunate to see them live in concert in Auburn Hills at the old Palace back in 2012 on May 6. It was my first time seeing them live and I picked best seats available when I purchased them and when I got to the Palace, they were good seats which turned into awesome seats. I was 4 seats from the aisle that they chose to walk down to the floor and then walked to the stage. Still is my best damn experience at a concert which was 'bucket list' worthy

They are special. Working in showbiz here you get to know people working with ramstein. They all have stories that are mindboggling. From they couldn't get more light for their show, because there were no more moving heads available for rent- worldwide. To their first gigs when they weren't quite as perfect and a pyro got sucked into an air vent. Causing the flames to detour and go over the heads of the audience in the wrong direction. They are amazing.

I can really recommend a live version of their new song "Puppe" that they performed on their tour this summer. I have been there and I loved it! Awesome song and awesome stage performance with fire and stuff :D if you listen to that song, keep the lyrics nearby, it is pretty meaningful

About live concerts. In 2020 there is going to be Europe Stadium Tour, and I think that you have all the chance to get their live performance. I've been on the Rammstein live in 2019 in Saint Petersburg and that was insane!!! And I highly reccomend you to rect to their live in 2019 Stadium Tour, especially Puppe. You will love it!! Yep, Armin Meiwes was looking for a willing victim to be slaughtered and eaten in a cannibal forum - and he found one. They ended up eating the victim's little buddy together before Meiwes suffocated him, cut him to pieces, ate some of the pieces and then put the rest in the fridge. I recommend "Du Hast" from their Live in Paris DVD. Personally Du Hast is extremely overplayed but their stage presence and pyrotechnics in that particular show was incredible. I even got to witness it firsthand in 2016. Won't spoil it, check it out even if it's not for a video, I think you'll enjoy it.

As you could tell,its pretty graphic and the text is pretty morbid but interesting,so i wasnt sure if it was something Annie/Miss Glitch could watch with you. Well, I hope you can manage to get some tickets. When they announced their new 2019 Europe stadium tour with the first new album since *ten* years, the whole tour was sold out instantly. Not in hours, not in minutes, but *instantly* Actually there was so much demand that they first announced additional dates cor concerts in 2019 and then decided to continue the tour in 2020. So... yes, there *might* have been a small bit of excitement for this. 😅 I was lucky, got a ticket for the last concert 2019 in Vienna - and according to a newspaper, this exact concert is supposed to be recorded and published on DVD. If so, it would be a better souvenir than any t-shirt or so. 😅

You should've reviewed one of Rammsteins recent live concerts of the European Stadium Tour. At those concerts, they use 3 (!) different flamethrowers against Flake in one run at Mein Teil. A small one, a big one, and a damn artillery-gun-flamethrower!

Isnt forbidden in germany but you need a pyrotechnician for it. He learned it because there was a concert where something broke on stage int crashed on the stage and the whole stage burned. He also burned his hair and skin multiple times.

If you think that's cool use of fire, you should check out their live performance of "Benzin" at Madison square garden. A stunt man climbs out of the audience, and Till sets him on fire with a flamethrower. I say stuntman, because obviously its part of the show, but it straight up just looks like he set a fan on fire haha.. Stage hands chase him down and put him out.

Till (the bands singer) is a licensed pyrotechnician. So this is par for the course with their performances. They are the best live band in the world in my opinion. I'd suggest 'Rammstein - Weisses Fleisch (Live, Big Day Out Festival 2001)' Back in the days when people would rock out instead of sitting there recording with their phones - this in Australia by the way kzbin.info/www/bejne/aGnOeKt4jcR8prs I saw them at this festival in New Zealand, and even though they couldn't bring their whole massive stage setup down here with them for it, they still brought a container load of pyro. They played before Tool and made them look terrible by comparison.

Be aware that the specific words rammstein use are really well choosen and well considered. It often feels like almost EVERY word is placed at its position for a specific reason. The same goes for their videos, they are often times really deep.

If you get into Rammstein, you should also check out "Lindemann", who is a side-project of the lead singer Till Lindemann cooperating with the swedish musician Peter Tägtgren (and other muscians, they are not shy to try out various stuff ^^). I suspect he does there all the things which is even to strange for the rest of the Rammstein-members :P "Fish On" or one of the newest songs "Steh auf" have great videos, you should check them out.

If you think that a flamethrower on stage is epic than you really need to check the live performances from the early years of Rammstein. Especially the song Rammstein, this number wraps it all!! The frontman Till will come on stage while burning, and he keeps on burning for over 50% of the duration of the song. The song is about the aircraft crash at the military base (US base) Rammstein. No better way to explain the pain them performing while you are on fire. They have done this for years until Till had severe burns after this performance. In the modern shows they still nail this live performance but the old one’s are EPIC!!
