Thanks for your honest reaction. This day 14 months ago, I sat with my son on a bench in the sunshine, just like the farmer did with his girl. Same night, he passed away. So this section of the song hurts and heals me in a special way. The ticking of the clock as heard intensely in the outtro no longer worries me.

If Rammstein were just a metal band with some killer rifts and some fireworks I would have moved on long ago,,but ''Zeit'' and the other 4 masterpieces is what in this old fan humble opinion marks them out as one of the greats, you wouldn't be human if this didn't get to you. the guys like us all are getting older, lost some loved ones and like everyone wish they could have that time back, but instead of wallowing in the misery, they turn it into high art and for many of us its therapy...its probably one of the main reasons why I admire them so much..

It's a real masterpiece. The reverse birth scene really got me. It's graphic but for me it illustrates our vulnerability as humans. In the extreme act of giving birth, women embody nature itself. Birth is viewed as a sacred, forward-moving process that marks the beginning of life and having this reversed is unsettling. The video underscores the contrast between the desire to control time and the acceptance of its unstoppable flow

Greetings and Love from Germany again 💚. Great reaction like always. After seeing you smilling, laughing, stunned, cheering and pumped in your last few Rammstein reactions, now it was about 'Time' to hit you with a deep, sad and emotional side of them. And it did. Countless time i've listened to it and i'm still tear up, always. I've had some tragic losses, a few of them way too early, so i know 'time'. By your reaction i think you know 'time' the same way. But i don't wanna get too personal, sorry. My dad always uesed this quote: "Time is free, but it's priceless. You can't own it, but you can use it. You can't keep it, but you can spend it. Once you've lost it you can never get it back." Last year i had to let my little dog Sammy cross the Rainbowbridge after 17 wonderful years. Sounds like a long time, Yeah, but sometimes it feels so damn short. And it still hurts like hell. A Timeless Pain. Have a peaceful weekend, buddy...stay safe & UP THE IRONS ✌

Everybody feels like you do when they see this video for the first time. If you want cheering up after that (a masterpiece, by the way) try the official videos for either “Dicke Titten” or “Zick Zack” from the same album, with subtitles though: you will get a chuckle from both. “Zick Zack” was the video they put out after “Zeit”. Clever really, since “Zeit” laments that time cannot be stopped and “Zick Zack” posits what happens when you try to hold it back.

Great Video, it is a Masterpiece and great Song! 👍 About the three Figures: Norne (goddess of fate in Norse Mythology) In Norse Mythology, the Norns are female beings who determine fate. Three Women of destiny are mentioned by Name: They are called Urd (fate), Verdandi (that which becomes) and Skuld (guilt; that which is to be). Their names are regarded as Norse equivalents of common medieval concepts of Time in the form of personifications of the Past (Urd), Present (Verdandi) and Future (Skuld).

This song is extremely special to me. The day my cat had to be put to sleep due to illness, I listened to it on repeat and cried. It's just so poignant and important in its message. A few facts: ✅️ The cloaked figures represent the Nornir, which control the fate of all living things. They are central figures in Germanic and Norse mythology. ✅️ The daughter who passes away is played by Flake's daughter. Take care of yourself. ❤

At the end, I think it's his wife who is getting younger as she goes towards the hooded figure, not his daughter. The hooded figures could represent the Norns of Nordic mythology, a little like the Greek Moirai or the Roman Parcae, who are responsible for shaping the course of human destinies.

For me, Rammstein is one of the most provocative bands of the last 20...30 years. They managed to find their own way. Many people have the band to thank for lead singer Till Lindemann. I believe his mother was a journalist and his father an author - so Till knows how to use words and sit on stage. If you've heard Zeit or seen the video, you know what I mean. Rammstein is often pushed into the right-wing political corner because of its provocative lyrics, although the band itself has made clear statements that it does not belong to the right-wing political spectrum. Zeit is still a title/video that makes me think about what I have achieved so far, what I wanted to achieve and what I actually did with my life before it ended at some point. Anyone who has ever lost a loved one can relate to the lyrics! To dive deeper into the mystery of Rammstein, I generally suggest the following official videos: - Du Hast - live in Paris: thousands of French people sing in German! - Keine Lust: - ... there is a version of the video with English subtitles! - Stripped - actually by Depeche Mode, but with the voice of Till and old film footage of Leni Rieffenstahl! - Radio - all the band members actually come from the eastern part of Germany, where it was forbidden to listen to western radio stations before german reunion! - ZickZack - a satirical look at plastic surgery - Deutschland - a short visual trip through stations of German history - Angst - what were we like in the past and what are we like today!? How have people changed? ..the black man is the boogieman! - Dicke Titten - actually funny, but with a very serious background! - Wiener Blut (Wacken 2013)- it's about Joseph Fritzl ... the man who locked his own daughter in the basement - for years - and raped her. This song crosses boundaries! (need to look at the version with subtitles!)
