Hassan did good dealings with the forward pressure from Dekkers. Need better boxing for when he was up against the ropes and corners. That is the only reason Dekkers won was bc he rocked Hassan a couple times when he had him on the ropes and bc of the constant forward pressure. Other than that Dekkers wasnt that impressive.

Hassan's style was one dimensional and gimmicky, and it always honestly blows me away that he was as competitive as he was against good competition. He couldn't box, he couldn't clinch fight, and 1/4 of his fights were him stalling by holding or flopping on the ground. Just because you are Moroccan, doesn't mean you have to be a delusional nationalist. Oh, and Badr Hari, while very good, is also wildly overrated.

Dekkers destroyed him. TKD wannabes never learn. The most irritating moment is that they do some fancy jump slap-kick and then they fall on their ass and watch helplessly for the referee to stop the fight - so unrealistic. In a real fight, that fall would have painful (if not fatal) consequences. I remember once Hassan Kassrioui with one of his jump kicks fell on his neck nearly breaking it (kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5eZn2WrgKqtqMU). Total BS.

Many TKD practitioners use those hopeless slap kicks (as well as some kyokushin fighters use "do mawashi kaiten geri" in the same manner), fall down and wait for the referee to stop the fight, which is simply pathetic. Almost all of them cannot box for shit and have no guard. From the other hand Ramon Dekkers is simply a legend and has beaten greatest Thai fighters of his time, on their soil. So, yes it is safe to say that compared to Dekkers Hassan is a joke. And yes, he is not an accomplished fighter, because of his poor boxing skills and those slap-kicks. Of course that is my opinion. You can believe in whatever you wish. Do not take my words personally.
