True, they acted very evil, the plan was to honor Joey separately, as the guitarist forbade even Joey's mother or brother to sit next to him, the super long speech was on purpose, not to give time to Joey's family to honor him, was plotted between him and the guitarist. Joey's mother can't even go and receive the award on her behalf, at the end of the ceremony an assistant "threw" the trophy from the top of the stage to Miss Charlotte. (I read this in Joey's biography, written by his brother). I'm talking because I love Joey so much, and people need to know the truth!

Who cares about CJ or Richie or Elvis Ramone. They work on any albums that work the Ramones good stuff. CJ played for a couple tours that's it. The other three Ramones we're just fill-ins when the others couldn't perform their job due to sickness or addiction sickness. I don't get mentioned and some of the Bands that were famous because I replaced somebody that couldn't do their job at that particular time and I don't expect those bands to. The only reason why the Ramones mentioned Eddie Vedder and the other people is because they had to d e e d e e and Joey thought Eddie Vedder was a moron. Most musicians don't like Eddie Vedder because they know what what Eddie Vedder is involved in and I'm not talking the music industry I'm talking satanic evil s***. Look how Eddie Vedder supported Memphis Three. Every celebrity and musician that supported these three teens are official satanists. These celebrities pressured judges and evidence was suppressed and these teens were later released with just 10 years suspended sentence.
@destroyernoah5 жыл бұрын
@@thomas-rs1vb Eddie sang with Joey on the last song of the last show The Ramones ever did, Any Way You Want It. I'd find it strange if they didn't like Eddie because he was the person they decided to finish the whole 30 year run with. Plus I disagree that the others didn't matter, Marky's style was very good, I'd say Ritchie's was better. CJ was a good vocalist and bassist, the song Main Man is probably the best example of his voice. I do think that everything after End of the Century was hit or miss though, after that album they tried to mix Spector sounds with classic radio rock, and occasionally really hard punk. Instead of just doing punk like they revolutionized. Although I think if they kept doing the same thing after that it would've gotten stale, so either way they would've gotten complaints. Idk why I typed all that, none of it really went anywhere.
@thomas-rs1vb5 жыл бұрын
@@destroyernoah I agree with most of what you're saying. But let me tell you something about Eddie Vedder most people in the music scene especially the Olympia Seattle scene where I came from where Eddie Vedder claims that he's from. The Seattle scene was ending because of the popularity on MTV. When Eddie Vedder move to Seattle after playing in a severely crappy band called Mookie Blaylock. Eddie Vedder was a total idiot disrespectful to women and a real weirdo around children. Then Pearl Jam was born after Green River broke up and Eddie jump to the chance to be the new singer. Or actually the labels jumps to put him in that position. Because Eddie was already one of their minions. After the song Jeremy came out that was total b*******, and the way Eddie Vedder ego exploded and the way he treated people people in the industry began to hate him. People like Eddie Vedder as bout as much as they like Courtney Love in the music scene. Eddie would make himself be a part of projects when he was not invited by anybody else involved in the project. He would make the labels do as he wished because at the time he was one of their biggest selling Stars.. as far as a Ramones Eddie Vedder being a fan of the Ramones pushed his way and used his power to get to do certain things with the Ramones. When he introduced them, DD and Johnny both were livid. but they know being in the music industry as long as they have been in the music business there was nothing they can do about it. Johnny wanted someone like Wayne Kramer from the MC5 or Iggy Pop from the Stooges to induct them or even Ray from The Doors. these people were all in attendance but Eddie pushed his power and got the position. Joey was the only one that like Eddie Vedder or let's say could stand him. if you are in the music scene especially in a 90s pretty much the two people that could not be standed the most like I said earlier were Eddie Vedder and Courtney Love. I m buddies with most of the people in Pearl Jam except for pretty much Eddie. Stone and Jeff don't really even like Eddie Vedder and they play in Pearl Jam with him. But those two are now industry ponds who have sold their souls to the industry and have to do what they're told. and I mean that when I say that that they have to do what they are told or else.

This ceremony took place on March 18, 2002. Dee Dee died on June 5th, less than three months after this. He was 50. No original Ramone member was left alive after Tommie died in 2014, but 2nd drummer Marky, 2nd bassist C.J. and 1983-1987 drummers Ritchie and "Elvis" (Clem Burke helping out for two gigs) still survive as of February, 2022.

Rest In Peace to Joey, Johnny, Dee-Dee, and Tommy. True Punk Rock Legends, that influence a bunch of bands after them. From creating something original to making it to Rock N Roll Hall of Fame!

just looking of how they were with each other, you can just… feel the tension with each one! but tommy at 2:54 really sum up the relationship within that core for what the Ramones were… brothers

At the end you can see Johnny patting Dee Dee on the back and Dee Dee flinched saying "I'm kidding!" ...PTSD from years of slaps to the head from him.

I have only started to listen to the Ramones, i was kind of stubborn musically when i was a teen, i just assumed they weren't my thing without listening to them, i'm 28 now and i'm so impressed by them, Listen to my heart, we're a happy family, 53rd and 3rd, i just want to have something to do and so on...and i'm actually sad when i see them in interviews or listen to them, that they're all dead... i'm from Dublin and they played here at least 3 times and i know some of the venues, what a shame, what a shame, hopefully we'll all meet again some day, or some of us for the first time. All of them were so interesting and unique...they worked hard and really enjoyed what they did...they were a great band.

John Householder ramones have never been a punk band.rock n roll hall of fame has nothing to do with punk.Its conformists like pop band ramones who bow to the record company corporates.

How is it possible that Dee Dee seemed to have what I would expect the exact same reaction when he was 25 getting an ice cream as to getting inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame. He had his issues but really seemed to come out of a hard business fundamentally unchanged and sweet. My heart...love Dee Dee.

I visited "Joey Ramone" place in the Bowery area of NYC last fall. It was a cool experience. I met to guys from Germany who came to see it too. It's on the corner near were CBGB'S used to be. As I was staying on the Upper West Side (near the Dakota). It was an adventure getting there as it was only my second time visiting NYC. That I had heard that the "Joey Ramone" Place street is the most stolen in all of NYC. But as I got close I could see it and I just got really happy. I'm pretty sure the German guys later stole the sign.

Dee Dee did most of the work and received most of the royalties. Most of all the songs were written by him in complaint the lyrics and the music. Even though they started to suffer due to DD's addiction to heroin but Dee Dee was the real talent

I'd like to thank Tommy Ramone, for his creation of a driving beat behind the drums. & delivering some of the greatest records, even two debut ones with different drummers (Road To Ruin w/Marky, Too Tough to Die w/Richie). Behind the kit, or behind the board - he defined the Ramones sound. Thank you, for defining the Backbone in the band. Johnny Ramone, for his dedication & sheer stamina, ripping through songs like a chainsaw. Thank you, for being the Muscle in the band. Joey Ramone, for his lanky outsider build, gave hope to all the cretins. His voice, both soft & roaring, he could lull you to sleep or get you going - both in good ways. Thank you for being the Heart of the band. Dee Dee Ramone, for your talented song writing, aspiring many bass players (such as myself) to listen to our heart, even if we were strung out on glue. Thank you, for being the Soul of the band. To Marky, Richie, & CJ - thank you for keeping the band going, in times where it may have seemed like the end. 1974 - 1996. Long Live The R.A.M.O.N.E.S
