The first drummer for the Ramones couldn't keep up with the quick tempos they were trying to achieve in the music so their manager Tommy Ramone (having never played drums before) sat down at the kit and was able to play as fast and as solid as the band needed him to. The original drummer ended up being the bands singer, Joey Ramone, while Tommy continued to manage and produce from behind the drum set. Tommy Ramone plays differently than your average drummer with a deeper sense of musicality that can be heard by his note choices and the way he serves a song. He had a very pivotal role in paving the way for the band's sound who would in turn become the most influential punk rock band of all time.

Great Cover! Seems like you might have seen it already, but I HIGHLY recommend watching End of the Century. One of the best rock and roll documentaries out there.

"Way of the Dragon" by Bruce Lee is analogous to "Beat on the Brat" by the Ramones. They godfathered new genres by kicking ass!

Sweet cover dude! Your practice space looks like something the Ramones would approve of too! Love the olive green paint and old school TV set, I wonder if they were into Bruce Lee! Haha!

I saw this video a few days ago and was so stoked to see you do a Ramones tune. I’ve watched a lot of your videos and I think I’m starting to figure out your music taste. Rock - that’s got a pop sensibility, but an overall sense of rawness. I think you would really like the Marked Men. They are for sure one of my all time top 10 favorite bands. The drumming is Ramones fast and very focused on driving the tunes forward, but absolutely wonderful to listen to, if you decide to focus. Listen to the track “All in Your Head”
