I’m 51 and went to Seekonk as a kid! Grew up a few miles away and we heard the racing every weekend, so awesome to see them still doing the pumpkin races.

Oh, the CARnage! I'm a long-time fan of figure-8 racing, from the style at Anderson Speedway in Indiana to the near-demolition-derby events. I hadn't seen Ramp events before, though. That adds a couple levels of destruction. I can only imagine this merged with the European Banger form...

Drivers side to passenger side impact. Even reversed there would be 50% drivers side and 50% passenger side impact potential.
@johne48792 жыл бұрын
Ahh I see it now duh. I was only looking at the one viewpoint. Now I see why the drivers would slow for the one crossing but just go for it when they were crossing the other direction thanks
@OrionDakota2 жыл бұрын
@@johne4879 That actually makes a lot of sense. I didnt think about how they were only generally slowing on one of the crossings. I guess its easier to get spooked when the cars are coming right at your side of the vehicle! :P

I suppose it's an American thing to waste food like that. It's certainly a thing that no starving people would see as being same behaviour. Still, with the way that things are going , may be the people that allowed this and cheered it will know how it feels to be hungry and possibly starving. I hope they have an opportunity to learn. It may do them good.

@Bob-vc6ug2 жыл бұрын
Oh please. How many pumpkin products are you going to feed to starving people? Millions of them are just carved up for Halloween and thrown away, I dont think anyone will miss 150 pumpkins.
@garyburchgb2 жыл бұрын
I just do not see the logic in wasting food. I know many people who seemingly have too much food available to them will not value it in the same way. It may help them to be in situations that challenge that view. It is not only pumpkin products that I am on about . There are other foods that are used in such ways e.g. sitting in a bath of baked beans. That is done for charity, but why not just sit in iced water. That's possibly a greater challenge. I suppose certain people are limited in their knowledge of how other people live. There are videos on KZbin that show people in dire situations of need. Maybe it would help people if they saw those videos and could connect in some small way to those peoples circumstances.
@BornIn15002 жыл бұрын
@@garyburchgb people grew them on their own private property. If you care so much, I hope you use every square foot of your property to grow vegetables and then give them all to charity. If not then you're a hypocrite. Stop trying to control other people, commie.
@garyburchgb2 жыл бұрын
@@BornIn1500 Thanks for your reply. Why would you assume I have property? Also why would you think i am trying to control other people's lives. I have a right to my opinion and I am exercising that right. I can gain information by other people's opinions so I value all opinions. Also are you the type of person that cannot tolerate anyone unless they have the same opinion as you? Calling me a commie when you know nothing about me is displaying ignorance. I would not want to be seen like that, would you?
