This stuff is such a myth, no offence bud. Back when he was on vinyl only people used to say he was playing a pre-recorded DAT tape at Fabric, his sets were that good. The guy has been playing so long he just knows the tracks that well. Having so many cue points on tractor helps massively for his mixing style now, but Andy plays so much he likely doesn't have time to compile a set. It's just pure track knowledge and experience that makes it as good as it is. That's why he's number 1

I've worked with both Rampage and Let It Roll in the past - both amazing festivals and amazing people; though I never heard something as powerful as Rampage's 2015 soundsystem, it completely blew my mind. Obviously LiR summer is not a good comparison as it's open air but LiR Winter, Fabric, Brixton Academy although having great soundsystems just pale in comparison to what I heard at Rampage.

Exaclty. I've been going to Rampage for 10 years since back when it was in Trix musical centre. The crowd is getting younger and younger each year and most have no knowledge of the heavyweights performing in front of them. They just want EDM-influenced drops. Opinions will always vary, but for me nine six / nine seven, I had a tape of Andy C from Pure X where he executed these long flowing mixes and just about every track was off of either Speed of Sound or V Classic. First time I heard him proper and he's been my favourite dj ever since. In a massive list of legendary clubs (Shelleys, The Edge, Kinetic etc.) where I seen every dj u worth seeing, my stand out memory is Andy C and Skibadee at NY Sushi in my home city, Sheffield. Two 1210s & a mixer and the 2 masters of their respective arts at the top of their game. Un. FUCKIN. Real. Mate.

The culture used to dance, sure there were some that gave the DJ attention upfront but the majority of DNB/Junglists danced or chilled in a dark corner of the room etc.. what happened to dance culture? Its great the new generation loves the tunes but someone needs to show them that dancing is ok lol.
