Really think JR needs to call here. Other than quads or 10 9, I really don’t know what rampage is repping here. The value hands he would raise on the flop would be a set of 9s, set of 6s, set of 10s, 10 9, or a straight. When the board double pairs, that limits his only value hands to either quads or 10 9, which is very unlikely with jr having a ten, and is also also repping a set of tens. That is 2 quad combos, one set of 10 combo (jrs ten blocker) and then 10 9 for value. Rampage would never bet a straight here for value and would also not bet an over pair for that much value in this spot. With rampage have that few of value hands, and with JR blocking tens and 10 9, JR needs to call here. Still absolutely sick bluff from rampage and happy he got it through!

Have been watching rampage for a couple of years now and here's my honest opinion/analysis: 1. His cash game has improved alot but there are alot of holes in it 2. In average-above average sessions where he is catching cards his game is not that predictable but also very far from a refined strategy 3. I've noticed, particularly on sessions where he runs hot and faces tough choices with big hands, he really lacks enough decipline All in all I do enjoy watching him step up his limits, most will never even reach 50/100 or even play a single game of 50/100 in their life due to w.e reason but mainly because most also understand their risk tolerance. This isn't to say that with time Ramp won't improve enough to compete in high limit games. But from the numerous times I've seen him on this show I vaigly recall him up only once. In summary I think he's out of his league (no offense) I genuinely wish him much success. I think he's really good on tournaments; when he runs good he usually finishes very high. All that being said, his buddy Mariano idk who called him a mini Garret A a few months ago; but he was spot on about him. Love his game and can't wait to keep watching him in high stakes action.

@MINNESOTA_PTSD Жыл бұрын
I’m just curious. If we played 100 hands of poker… And we were each guaranteed to get AA and KK a combined 20 times. So AA x10 KK x 10 Each Then 60 other random hands … Who do you think would win more? Also what if I don’t 3 bet you ? Say I 3 bet 10% of 100 hands. You’re stuck navigating the other 90% of the time. Therefore , 4 bet shoving with KK proves only to be a band aid that gets ripped off painfully when your opponent wakes up with AA. OR If you’re dealt KK 10x in a row. I 3 bet with 2/7 9 times to 30K And AA 1 time to 30k 400K deep Your strategy nets you 30K x9= +270K And -400K 1 time For -130K Though it’s not bc of AA. It’s bc of all the lost value the other 9 hands. And forfeiting your right to play any post flop poker. In other words. It could go. 1. Win 30K 2. Win 60K 3. Win 30K 4. Win 60K 5. Lose 60K 6. Win 30K 7. Win 60K 8. Lose 90K 9. Win 60K 10. Lose 100K (folding KK on river to AA) Obviously there are infinite possibilities. But the idea of the game is profit rather than avoiding the chance of variance.

JR would be happy after Ben won against Rampage.
@jamesdeppeler793 Жыл бұрын
Would Rampage's line on that first hand make sense if he had AA KK QQ JJ? He'd most likely have 4b AA and KK preflop. Maybe not always, but he's more aggressive than trappy. He most likely wouldn't be able to bet that river for value with QQ or JJ, and I'm not sure he'd have raised the flop with them either. On the flop you might think when he raises, he has a set. But when another 9 drops, then another 6, that leaves one combo each of 66 and 99 he could have had. And villain has a 10, with top kicker, so Rampage also only one combo of 1010. Outside of that, I give him maybe 10 9 suited? But unfortunately with the cards out there, there's only 1 combo of that. Then I guess we imagine he can have 2x A9s, 1x A6s, and a handful of other 9 and 6 suited hands such as 98, 76 65, only a couple combos of each available. (I'm not sure his range there contains any one-gappers. I would assume not from such an early position but maybe someone can show me otherwise. I've seen him do crazy stuff but I think he tries to keep his opening ranges a little less crazy when this much money is on the line.) I guess he might have those few 9's and 6's. He shouldn't really have them too much from an early position call/call, but he probably does have them sometimes. And for him to have a 9 or a 6 hand you need to give him credit for raising the flop with those hands when a lot of people would consider that a spot to call. But I also know who Rampage is. He bluffs a lot. He has more bluffs here than value hands, simple as that. I'm closing my eyes here and calling, you just have to. If you can't call Rampage in a spot like that, you should have tightened your range up preflop and never have raised A10s there.
@soocool78 Жыл бұрын
have to agree. I would think Rampage is, if anything repping a 10 or ace high. 10-J, TT, A10. I think if Rampage knew villain had a 10 I have to believe he wouldn't have made that move.
