Ramses II, the great journey - The post-mortem adventures of a great pharaoh - Documentary - AMP

More than 3,200 years ago, Egypt was experiencing the last hours of its golden age under the reign of Ramesses II. After 67 years of a prestigious reign, the powerful pharaoh died at the exceptional age of 92.
His mummy is buried in the heart of the Valley of the Kings. Then begins for Ramses II the great journey to the afterlife where he will gain Eternity, on one condition however: that his mummified body and his tomb be eternally preserved.
But in the 19th century, several adventurers discovered and explored the tomb of the illustrious sovereign in the hope of reaching the Golden Chamber where the mummy of the deceased and all his treasures rest. Then begins a fascinating archaeological investigation across time and space, revealing the incredible story of the post-mortem life of Ramses II.

Fascinante histoire j ai toujours adorée l Egypte ce pays si riche d histoires et de son patrimoine immense merci a chaque documentaire (n ayant pas les moyens financiers) je voyage avec vous dans chaque video

A noter que les Hommes étaient déjà cupides au XIXème siècle. Même mort, il ne peut pas reposer en paix. En tout cas, documentaire très intéressant. 😊

Quelques erreurs dans ce documentaire passionnant. Au début les auteurs parlent d’un cercueil en or alors qu’il est en bois (verdure du Liban) ainsi que des confusions dans certaines dates.

Pendant le règne de ce Pharaon il y avait une importante formation militaire Egyptienne qui ètait incompatible avec la culture Juive,c'est pourquoi les Juifs ont du quitter l'Egypte sous la direction de Moise!(Exode)
