She was the most generous, genuine and down to Earth person as well as the author of books that fired a million imaginations. She was a pioneer cresting new humanistic characters in the horror genre. In 1990 I found her number in the phone book and called her and she picked up! My friend had a rock band called Lestât and was afraid there would be a possible conflict. She was so nice and was truly flattered and interested in the music. I’ll never forget that. Rest In Peace, Anne Rice.

You will always be for me the queen of vampiric literature and one of the greatest in fantastic literature in general. You joined the greats such as Bram Stocker, Mary Shelley. Will the full book of Ramses the damned be released to audible? The version that’s there now is very disappointing! Whole chapters are missing. I adore the book and have had many copies, including the trade paperback. I’m now restricted to audiobooks because of strokes, so I’d love to have the entire book, not a 2 hour long version. I wonder: does an author have any control over whether her/his novels are published in Mass Market Paperback form? With the new Premium Paperback format seemingly taking over, it's getting more difficult to find new Mass Market Editions. For example, it doesn't appear that Prince Lestat ever saw publishing in this edition and that's a huge disappointment.

In the book there are several errors that do not correspond to the time of the pharaohs, such as that they ate potatoes, which were brought to Europe from Peru.
