This week was another busy. When you're in the cow/ranch business things ever slow down. We Drift cows further south into good feed and water. Shawn gives his saddle update, and Hyde goes to the sale barn and buys the new ranch mascot. We are grateful for the life we live and glad to share it with you. Don't forget to like and subscribe and tell your friends. see you next week!

Thank you for another great video. Hyde bidding on that longhorn is priceless! Good that you include family time with the family business. One day the kids will be grown and realize how lucky they were to have all that. Kudos to you all! That saddle is really looking good!!! I think you need to start putting sterling caps on your horn. You can press your logo into the cap and add to the legend you are creating for generations to come. Keep Smiling and Stay Grateful 😊

Once again really enjoyed this week's video. My cousin and I used to roam all over the high desert mountains around Carbon county. We used to brew up some Brigham tea all the time. So cows aren't the only ones who like it.

Always love your videos! My husband and I travelled from Missouri to Utah in 2023 and saw a lot of the scenery you show in your videos…Mexican Hat, Monument Valley, Mokey Dugway and so much more. It is such a beautiful area. I can’t imagine how amazing it is to actually live there. I look forward to every Sunday and a new video from you!

Hello Cowboys, late here fighting an awful head cold. Neat hat. This is so interesting how you make a saddle. I never would’ve thought about that. Hyde, I’m so happy for you. I’m really glad you won the bid! She is beautiful. Hyde. How exciting. I watch a couple of channels with Long Horns. They are so fun to watch. Oh goodness. I think GPS is a great idea for the cows. Hyde, what is your cows name? Nice lookin rocks Hyde. I’m partial to the red ones. Greatvideo as always. Thank you.

Man, that country is so foreign to me. I enjoy learning about the feed. I'll bet it's superior to what we have. They all look fat and happy. I find it pretty neat that you don't have to tell your dog what to do all the time. I'm going to try that. We don't have that vast territory to cover though. Up here in the northern Cal mountains we'll have shoulder high wheat grass when the critters come up in late May.

The cattle look good and healthy. I have watched some of your older videos recently and have liked/ the Thumbs up button on them. I always hit the like Thumbs Up button. Its cool to see unique things there in the Desert where guys ranch and live. Is Pasture Rotation the key to you guys Ranching there in Southeast Utah? What knots do like to use when you tie up your horses? I have never seen Mexican Hat, Thank You. What month does calving start for you guys? Why is it called a Saddle Tree? Do you guys make other things out of leather besides saddles? The Black and White Longhorn Cow looks awesome. The black cow to be the friend of the longhorn did you guys know she was pregnant?

❤🎉😮 Awww twins how sweet !! Love the Longhorn, she looks like Jezebel one of Longhorn Lester's herd..🐄 You're so talented building that saddle Shawn, very interesting. Little Hyde is taking it all in living the life, good for him. So much work and so many miles go into your cows, are they sold under a particular special brand or just privately?? Sorry if you've already answered and I forgot.. I just think how good that meat must taste... Thanks for the neat video..🙂😍❤️🐴🤠🇺🇲

Hi, thanks for watching we sure appreciated it. Currently we sale our calves to a cattle broker that we have been selling to for many years. We would like to get to the point that we can feed and sale our beef ourselves, but not quite there yet.

Can you please explain the difference between your herding dogs and your holding dogs? And why a single dog can’t do both jobs? I’m baffled.

Do any of your cattle fall off the edge? Thet are probably used to it but if they get to messing around in the wrong place it could happen. Thanks for the saddle updates. I find it very interesting. Also, when i first found your site you were working two young horses. Are they now regulars for riding?

What she’s doing is called showing eye, so as I’ve said before, she’s an eye dog, she would be better suited to sheep, than cattle, but she will be ok, You should be able to send her around a mob of cattle or a single beast, and she will. Ring them back to you, I’ve had eye dogs working for me over a mile across a gully in the New Zealand country, Save you a bloody lot of walking She should also, never bark, or bite, that’s a no no
