I was just thinking that it's amazing that Cole puts out 3 videos each week, @ about 15 min each, and sometimes a 'short' as well. The editing alone must take hours out of his week. He puts a lot of time into sharing with us. But yeah, I'd like longer vids too! (I too watch these vids on Sat. a.m.'s with a cup of coffee right after I do chores for my own small herd.... and get a bad case of equipment envy.)

Cole, I really like those drive-thru gates. Money well spent! You and your Dad have a really nice operation. It makes me smile a lot to see all the things we had to do by hand being done with equipment. Some of the nicest Black Angus cattle and I am glad to see the few Herford cattle you have. Those black bald-faced calves are just plain beautiful to me. I don't know about nowadays but they used to bring the most at the sale barn. Great u tube content, thank you!

Work smarter, not harder.---Cole, I had to have corrective surgery on one of my feet. After recovering, I developed pain in that hip. I mentioned it to a surgical friend of mine, who then brought up my complaint during surgery one day. The surgeon asked her if I was limping, and my friend relayed that question to me. The next day, on the long walk from the parking lot to the clinic where I was working at the time, I paid attention to my gait, & was surprised to notice I WAS limping. I didn't know why, as I had no pain in that foot. So, I made a conscious effort to correct my gait & the hip pain stopped! With you having to be out in all the snow & muck, perhaps you are also unconsciously limping with that knee, or at least favoring it.---Odd question, do any of the folks in South Dakota say 'ishkabibble'? One day, many many years ago, when watching a news story while at the Farmstead, a transplanted newscaster said that word (I think the story was about frogs or salamanders crossing a busy road at night!), & it sounded so strange to hear it on TV, since we would frequently use that word during casual speech when there was something icky (like cleaning out that wet barn straw)!

Good work again on the caving barn cleaning it out. You have that process down pat. Hopefully will be the last time this calf season. Looks nice and fresh when you get done Cole. Love the videos and content. One thing to point out if someone else hasn't, drilling holes in hammer drill mode, or using an impact driver in lieu of using an actual drill slows you down and isn't the tool correctly. Using a drill is much faster and you won't wear out your tools as quickly. I too used to be in the use an impact driver to drill deeper holes in corner posts guy, or just in general, but after watching some guys do some comparison tests on KZbin, its less efficient. Keep up the great work.

We know you are one hard working young man Cole. Doing anything to make your workload easier is wonderful to me. I saw how hard my great uncle worked on his dairy farm many years ago. He milked cows twice asked 😮day and finally went to the milking machines. That man keep everything almost spotless if that’s possible with milking cows. He dang sure gave it his best and won award after award for cleanliness. I still remember those giant 18 wheelers with the huge stainless steel tanks for the milk being hauled off the farm. My uncle was a honest hard working man and to this day I miss him so much. We had a special bond. He bought my cousin and I each a horse. Miss Molly and Miss Dolly. Except for the asthma issue I loved every summer we got to spend there in our youth. Don’t let anyone make you feel less than what you know you are. A very hard working young farmer just trying to make farm life a little easier. That’s working smarter not harder. As for Dad we all know none of us would want to get in a fight with him. He’s strong as an ox! The fight would be one and done if he got the first blow in! Good thing he’s a big old teddy bear!!😂❤
