This album is an all-time Classic. Individually great songs but even better when heard together. Most albums have filler but not this one.

Good morning heartache You're like an old friend Come and see me again Good morning heartache You're like an old friend Come and see me again Look up you're in Cleveland again A solid line that never ends I've got stories that you'll never believe And I know it I wear, I wear it on my sleeve There must've been somethin' about you that I liked But right here in the rain you know it just don't seem right I always go out, I never hide But in Cleveland I should have stayed inside Good morning heartache You're like an old friend Come and see me again Good morning heartache You're like an old friend Come and see me again Testify my love for you And I know it runs deep through your body too From the cold blacktop to the hot concrete The old tan van it ain't so sweet Good morning heartache You're like an old friend Come and see me again Good morning heartache You're like an old friend Come and see me again Somewhere in America In the city at night We were far from home But you know It was gonna be alright The unfortunate get preyed on by vultures eyes I've got six cents in these pockets of mine And you can take my money, you can take my time But you can't take my heart, it's in the city behind Good morning heartache You're like an old friend Come and see me again Good morning heartache You're like an old friend Come and see me again

This album fucking slaps. Absolutely love the mix of punk & reggae. The whole album is great from start to finish, but this is one of my favorites. For me, this song is like embracing sadness/loneliness, you can take those feelings and turn them into something beautiful.

So today I was driving around with my wife, who is from Taiwan and never heard Rancid before, or even this type of music. I had Rancid playing at a low volume out of respect, and so she could talk, lol. Old friend is when she became a Rancid fan! I will never forget when the song hit the @45 second mark, she paused and leaned forward to hear better while reaching for the volume and blasting it! So the rest of the drive, we were rocking out loud as hell to Rancid! Best drive ever!

Nothings can beat this album, I was raised on rancid, op ivy, the mighty mighty bosstones, less than Jake (which is also one of my favorites), and sublime along with other ska and punk bands. I have stuck very closely to rancid and less than Jake and this is in my top five albums of all time. To anyone seeing this embrace your gift for having amazing music taste
