Pure Kirkwood-Cohansey aquifer water gives rise to the Rancocas Creek deep in the New Jersey Pinelands. The creek's main branches flow to the west through historic towns where they once powered commerce and industry in the 18th and 19th centuries. Located in Burlington County, New Jersey, the Rancocas Creek provides great opportunities today to explore by canoe or kayak and experience a largely unspoiled river ecosystem. Burlington County government is working on a creating a connected series of parks as part of the Rancocas Creek Greenway. Join Burlington County Naturalist Jen Bulava as she explores nature along the Rancocas and explains how the waters of the Rancocas feed the Delaware River and the freshwater needs of both New Jersey and Philadelphia residents and businesses.
