Hopefully that works for i had a few bad experiences with Rand i went to garmin otr 700 i love it have no problem with it it’s been 4 or 5 years now and it updates automatically once a month with the new roads and restrictions. If that don’t work out give ‘em a try. But with prices on truck gps hopefully that will do what it needs to

Also, another thing is that you can call Ran McNally to send your old one back in and they may offer. It was a free replacement as Garmin does or an upgrade at a discounted price.

Hey Kendall, since you’re ran, McNally is freezing up, in order to correct that problem, you can do a restart on that device by holding the power button down until it restarts to see if it will help to reset it. Otherwise, you can do also an update online for the device as well and maybe that might help.

I tried everything boss. None of that worked. I think it was messing up from heat damage. It worked fine until the sun came out lol

Hey Kendall, I too have had the exact same issues you’re talking about. Sad thing is it’s only two and a half years old at the most. You can’t beat a RM maps software compared to Garmin. I love the RM as it also gives more and the best truck stops over Garmin and over all is just a better device IMO. Only negative I have against RM is I haven’t figured out how to connect it to my IPhone due to its Android system.

The problem I found with GPS's they work great until you update them. All the OS files are stacked in order when it's programed from the factory and when you do an update the new files are not replacing those files cause there usually bigger so they are not stacked with the original OS files and when your using it and it needs something from a new file it sometimes loses track of where files are. Home computers have a function called Defragging which looks at all files and puts them in a nice usable order which GPS's don't come with. So when I buy a new GPS I never connect it online, I just use it as a stand alone device and the one I have TND 740 has worked perfectly for yr's now.

Hey bud! Ive been documenting my entire experience with Schneider as well. I am a company driver amd did my orientation in Green Bay as well. I think we were there at the same time. I started Oct 24 2022. But now i am looking into the O/O side if things. In todays trucking situation would you think it's still worth the transition? I am approved through SFI for a 24 Cascadia but just havent made the final decision yet. Thoughts?

If you got the funds and credit I would go dealership. If you need a lease truck to get you rolling then I think that’s best. I’ll be dropping a video about leasing sometime this week.

Its the real deal but was sitting in the box in the case for the last couple years. Thanks tho. I fucked it up if your wondering I got bubbles under it because I put it down then peeled it up again.
