Rand McNally TND Tablet quick review

TND Tablet and TND 730 run the exact software, i have owned them both gps on both are exactly the same. But i agree i have had the tablet for 2 weeks now i love it

When I had the 730 the GPS would crash all the time. If it saw the route it made was illegal it would cancel out everything and then return to the map with a blank slate. I found it super annoying. I do miss the extra 3d models though. Except it would default me to the hot air balloon randomly sometimes. I liked the tank. The tablet doesn't have as many

I don't quite understand why you would buy a GPS like this when you are required to follow your company's route.

My company's routing isn't 100% safe for trucks. Cost effective for them yes but we have to step in and say I can't go this way because of a low bridge or even rush hour traffic. They are big on safety

hi do u need wifi to use the gps and tablet. if so what do u use for your wifi

You don't need WiFi for navigation but for the extra features like tripmaker and the weather data those need an internet connection. I don't have WiFi in the truck so I use whatever is available at truck stops or McDonald's or wherever.

What's the dash cam app you installed

It's called autogaurd on the android play store. Free download but it doesn't save much time for video unless you pay for the pro version, which is like 3 bucks.

Why not just get a Samsung tablet and install a good GPS ?

Rand McNally do not provide software to load to another tablet

I bought mine at a TA at the time. It was the only one that had one. Every major truck stop carries them now.
