Agree with cutting the foreign aid but it’s a drop in the bucket compared to social security. It’s time for the country to act like adults and make changes to social security. At the inception of social security, life expectancy was 61. Now it’s 77. I’m 54. If they raised the retirement age 1 year every 4 years, I could get social security at 69 instead of 65. Seems fair enough to me. What won’t work is shoving our heads in the sand and thinking it will all somehow magically work.
