Coming from an American, Pierre is the only one who can protect you guys. Trump has absolutely zero respect for weakness and weak leaders. I think Pierre is both strong and smart enough to lay out a mutually beneficial path for Canada and the US to work together with Trump. Anyone else and the pressure is only going to go up and up and up until something breaks. Not war, mind you, since Trump ruled out any military action, but clearly the economic pressure on Canada via tariffs and other means will only increase until better deals on border security and trade are negotiated. It sounds harsh, but I truly don't think Trump minds breaking Canada economically if that's what it takes to get what he wants (fair trade and a secure northern border). I think the tactic he's using is applying so much pressure that either a deal needs to be made soon, or else he will eventually weaken Canada so much that they're no longer in a position to negotiate and basically have to accept whatever America demands. I agree you need an election and a strong leader immediately.

This is exactly why Canadians DON'T want to be Americans Most of you are naive, haughty and obnoxious toward us, as we see in the first few minutes of this video, and it would be even worse if you OWNED us. When a Canadian PM quits, they stay on to keep the country STABLE until a new leader is elected WITHIN their own party, usually in a few months, and that person becomes PM. THEN an election is held, either it is called by the party in power, or it can be forced even faster, and at ANY time, if enough Members of Parliament vote against the gov't, meaning the party in power. This is where the left-wing New Democratic Party (NDP) has finally said they will vote AGAINST the extremist-centrist Liberal Party of Trudeau and JOIN the right wing Conservative Party in voting AGAINST the ruling Liberal Party, meaning the gov't, which will force an election after a campaign period, usually a few months. The Conservative Party wants such a vote TOMORROW, and has been pressing the NDP for it for months, it is the Leftist NDP that is stalling, but has stated they will vote AGAINST the Liberals at some date in the near future. That is how the LAW works in Canada, for better or for worse.

We aren't going to allow it to fall into adversarial hands like that of the Chinese. That's just reality. It wouldn't take a war to seize and occupy the canal, it'd take an afternoon. If you're Canadian and are uncomfortable negotiating from a position of weakness with the US like this, then get your sh*t together and stop being so weak. Elect a common sense government. The pressure will only increase until/unless Canada has a strong and component leader and common sense policies in place that make Canada economically strong enough to be an equal partner to the US. His fundamental misunderstanding of economics is astounding. Canada ofcourse sells more to the US than it buys, it has 1/10 the population. On average Canada spends 15000 per capita buying things from the US while the US barely spends 2500 per capita. That’s a significant trade in balance in favour of the US. Also, Canadian exports to the US are primary resources that are used in the primary manufacturing process. America uses cheap and available resources from Canada to turn into more complex goods which they then sell a lot of back to Canada. It’s a very useful relationship that makes no sense to disrupt over showmanship. Most Canadians are proud not being American citizens, but would rather remain close friends and allies. Despite what some may think Canada is not a leech when it comes to military protection. There are no threats that Canada has not been unable or unwilling to face and in fact when necessary Canadians have always more than pulled their weight fighting other people’s wars. Never once has anyone else ever died defending Canadian soil from invaders, nor have we ever asked

Funny. considering you get like 50% more from us than we do from you... 2022 Canada TO US, 438 Billion. US to Canada 308 billion. AND a significant portion of what you sent back was just our resources refined... I hope agent orange gives Canada the balls to bring more of our functions in house, and make more ways to trade it to other countries rather than getting 90 cents on the dollar from the US.

Why do we provide aid to any countries when we have issues of our own??😊
@jzou103013 сағат бұрын
I can’t imagine you really believe US is subsidizing Canada, it’s called trade, you do get the natural resources or goods you buy! Considering our population differences, your trade deficit against Canada is actually way way way better than with China, Mexico and EU. Not to mention, the majority of the goods exported to US are natural resources which then further refined or manufactured into something more valuable, which means more jobs and added value is created inside America. Canadian did not steal any of your job. The trade with Canada is much more beneficial to America than you think. America is basically processing the raw material and sell them back to us or other countries at higher price, so even if you start to cut your own trees and dig your own oil, why would anyone say no to raw materials which could make them more money?

And the beauty of it is that there is no wait time. You can see a specialist in one week! Not like in Canada where one can die waiting for care. Where one catches diseases at the uncleanly hospitals… the choice is easy. I have 2 friends that are over 65 in the USA…. They are much better off than Canadians

@@fdloop Kevin O’Leary is a failed Canadian politician who dropped out of the running for the leadership of the Conservative Party in 2017 for lack of support and has lived in the US for many years. He is detested in Canada (which is why he left Canada and is now living in Florida) and is more American than any Canadian. He has no credibility in Canada and certainly does not represents Canada in any way, shape or form. You’ve been had. He used the outrageous idea that Canadians wanted to be an American state as a publicity stunt in order to pitch his interest to Trump in buying TikTok now that it has been forced to sell it. Please try to find a respected business person who lives here and understands what Canada is all about to interview. First question to ask them, what percentage of Canadians would like to be Americans? It’s about as many people who voted for him when he ran for election and had to drop out for lack of support
