I had a dream once, where I was on board a spaceship and this ship has a hole in its hull. I could see the entire cosmos through this hull. In my dream, I was dead-scared of entering this hole, for if I ever entered this hole, there would be no coming back. Sort of makes me feel of like people up in high orbit, building the first orbital installations around Earth. Thousands of kilometers of vacuum and atmosphere between them and the nearest other lifeforms below. Just that brief moment of realization, vertigo and fear as they shiver themselves under their suit and return to work... 'Can't wait to get back inside and get a drink' the engineer briefly thinks aloud...
