There's no doubt it's probably the nicest looking knife in the whole Randall collection. I just can't get past the fact it's technically a no-tang knife and that joint at the hilt would keep me up at night if my life depended on this knife. A beautiful piece of American Craftsmanship 100%!

My favorite Randall I have one , Gary Randall says they might one or two that come in a year with the handle separated or very loose and ...... they also have been badly abused.

One of the Randall grandsons told me during my visit they they've only ever had two come back with issues on handle attachment, both badly abused. Either way it would take a LOT to break it and definitely in the abuse category. Thanks for watching!!

Looks like that spot on the blade that you pointed out was from the back of the snap strap rubbing on the blade.

Look at the model 12 sportsman's bowie. They are all beautiful knives though. Not a bad looking one in the catalog.

It's sad that they are too valuable to use anymore. Great company with a great tradition.

I guess it depends on how deep your wallet is :) I use mine, but I admit I cry a little knowing I'm lowering the value...but it only lowers it a small amount usually. Thanks for watching!!

Not a lot :) Personally in mind I keep a small ferro rod, some fishing line, hooks and small amount of Gorilla tape wrapped around a tube holding the stuff. Thanks for watching!!

@@HillbillyMusingsLike that tube idea for the handle contents! Used it myself on a Frost Survival/Rambo knife, found a candy tube the same dia. as handle I.D. No Gorilla tape or ferro rods back then, matches, fish hooks, aspirin, scalpel blade. Cord wrapped handle, brass knurled cap with compass ( skull crusher option went missing). 7" clipped point stainless blade. Very similar to the Randall. I remember in the 1970s, when demand for the Md.18 was high(Viet Nam!), Randall used quality German stainless blades to increase production! Wonder if they were the same Co. That made my old Frost? Enjoy that Randall, Blsgs, gg🙏🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🤠🙋☝️☝️☝️
