i must say i have the smae opinion. for soemthing like 1 year or 2 years, i couldn't play anything but the same riffs in different positions. and when i listen to your demo's it kinda of enlighten me, and helped me, god knows how, to write different stuff. i was really close to quit guitar and selling my gear, even found a buyer. thank you man.

I rent a house with 13 other college dudes that's why I never play it through a cab. I use the Two Notes Torpedo + studio monitors combo which sounds incredibly good on low levels

most stuff is borowed. amps he owned (and sold again): engl savage, rectifier. amps (or preamps) he currently owns: axe FX 2, kemper profiling amp and randall/fortin satan. i think he has a fortin as well as this randall, but i'm not entirely sure about that. plus he now tours with six feet under.

ChrisW12208 i totally agree,I own a Peavey Valveking and boosted with my Maxon OD 808, played on my Marshall 1960AV really kicks ass, but a whole bunch of people out there believe Valvekings can´t do any high gain stuff at all. So it would probably be nice if Ola does a Valveking Video to prove it´s METAL capabilities :)))

probably already got an answer, but circuitry wise they are identical. though there are some people who hear a difference between handmade point to point wiring and pcb wiring... those people are usually those who can hear differences between different battery brands in a tube screamer...

el34 have just a bit more grind, more midrange and a tighter bass. for more bottom end and a slightly scooped midrange 6L6 are the way to go. i personally like the el34 version more, the sound is more compact and cuts more. just a matter of taste there.
