Everyone has their own ideas of what we will actually be aware of in Heaven as to family members...I personally don't believe we will have the feelings we had on earth..and our focus will be solely on God Christ & Holy Spirit...always love to hear teaching and answers from Godfrey and Ferguson...!

think the vine question was mishandled. in OT Israel is the vine. in John 15, Jesus says He is the TRUE VINE. believe this is more than just perseverance or irresistible grace

Please read R.C. Sproul's book "Willing to believe" the book is very well written, on your concern. Answer your question by investigating what the learned of the past and present have spoken on this question. In a very engaging style of writing. Enjoy !
