I had that game when we I was a kid, played it often. No idea what eventually happened to it because mom saved everything....except for the Pivot Golf game.

Thanks... I found out it was created by the Marvin Glass toy company, and first licensed to the Hubley Toy company as Golfino in the 60s. Then in the 70s, it was licensed to MB, and they called it Pivot Golf.

You did a fantastic restoration. Lucille Ball did quite a lot of MB games. I played a card game with a windup holder called body language. Simple windup and as it goes a view window reveals your card basically charades. A fun MB game I played was crossfire, simple but fun.

That smell you are describing is Mouse or Rat wee mixed with insect spadge ...I had a Saturn Robot that was absolutely coated in it and sticky and stunk. It's so rewarding cleaning up something that others would throw away. Then people exclaim "I cant believe its the same thing!" Great vid as always, Randi thanks :)

Very cool game and a good restore. I restore old electronics (computers game consoles etc ) one trick for smells is leave the item out on a clear warm sunny day and it will get rid of some of the stench and #0000 Steel wool is gentle enough to clean many things. I usually use some windex with it and it works a treat.

You can reflock that. they sell the stuff on Ebay. It's just green latex paint and some ground up green foam rubber material you sprinkle on it before it dries.

It's not flock. It's pool table felt. Which I have some coming because I am redoing a Pivot Pool as well. Maybe I will change out the felt on the golf game too.

@@RandiRain Actually, i got my stuff mixed up. Its been so many years used these products. The ground up bits of foam rubber were to simulate grass on model train boards. The stuff I was thinking of was used to re-do the hair on vintage GI Joe heads. Its colored latex paint and then tiny fibers of nylon sprinkled on. When done it gives it a velour finish. Either of those products would work great on that.

@@Kewrock - That could work. But the green is the same felt that they used on the Pivot Pool game. I have some pool felt coming. It was supposed to be here two days ago.

To get rid of the Sticky Plastik just wash with Dishwasher Soap and Hot water. Same stuff happens to some action figs when they are old, its the Plastik leaching chemicals but not a problem. Love the vids

Well, it's in a paper sack in pieces. It was severely yellow to the point it was brown. Time got away from me and I had to move on, and I never returned to it. I keep saying one day.

@@RandiRain Mine turned golden brown too. I spray painted it satin white. I had my robot from from the 70's, but i recently got the remote on ebay. I think the remote needs capacitors. The voice volume is so low you can't hear it.

I collect coins. I can tell you about the stories I have heard about people thinking their coins are worth a fortune just because it is 100 years old (I have had British coins that were over 250 years old that were only worth $10). I love the game of golf, but my body won't handle playing it very much anymore. I remember this game, but never had one. Would love to challenge you to a game sometime.

Neat bit of design having the ball return to the golfer (and a mechanic for when it doesn't). Could probably design your own version of this like you did with the flea circus. Standard seller logic: 10,000 items- "Very popular, high demand. A bargain at twice the price." 1 item- "Rare, one of a kind item. Very valuable." Sometimes I doubt the wisdom of the invisible hand.

It is definetely going to be worth more after you have worked your "restoration-magic" on it. The litte tropyhy kind of reminds me of a ballistic missile coming out of it's silo :-)
