These "just watching them move" toys also have their special charm. From Tomy, I once had the Monster Burger game. Neon lights. Full control. Simple AI enemies. Was fun.

Loved Big Loader. Tomy made great stuff, like Run Yourself Ragged which was great since I was an only child. Also had many of the Tomy pockets, favorite being Obstacle Course. You mentioned marble runs. My all time favorite toy was Bandai Space Warp. About 18 years ago Bandai re-released it in Japan, bought 4 big boxes. Maybe some day I will get around to building it. :D

It's cheaper just to make a video version of these things. Those days are gone.

a favorite that I recently found that I'm going to rehab is 'took a lickin from a chicken'. Its not Tomy but I feel like it's up your alley :) My plan is it gut it (current board is blown anyway), put in my own electronics and then have it start squackin' smack talk to 'Rick'. Rick is owner of the vintage toy store that I got it from 😂

I'll have to look that up.

I remember seeing an operating display in a clear enclosure (to keep people from touching it) in the stores years and years ago. It may have been the Big Loader Set, but I'm not positive. It had a vehicle going to different stations.

I like the games where you compete with someone. Like a racing or shooting GAME.
@mikecarter88803 ай бұрын
As an only child I didn't like any game where I had to compete. I don't think I ever actually played a game of Mousetrap, I would just build it and turn the crank.

The only toy that I actually had I know was told me after seeing when the videos from Randy rain was the Radio Shack Armitron robot not the mobile version but the the one that was just set in place. Ah she did play the game quite a few times with this trying to get the release energy units used it turns out that that was a good thing in WeatherTech head classes were so you can call it in at least with this go around they had used the Armitron robots and the game itself the only reason I got such a good grade on that one was because the previous practice with my own years before eventually one of the gears had stripped out what's not interested in fixing it however wound up using a lot of the parts in other projects including the slip clutches run across my custom used to this adapted to Lego a couple weeks ago. This was before Lego had produced actual slip clutch parts and about the best you could do was rubber bands or something more complicated to do the same utilizing a differential and much more now is combined into one part or a few. Oftentimes if I can't fix something which is a rarity find some way to reuse it for something else or repurpose or even reuse other parts that are still usable it's farmer mentality a lot of times sometimes the item is more useful in the end than what it was intended for at the start honestly that's worked out a lot of times this way. For example lineup building a high velocity blower for cleaning things up from an old air mattress inflator the air mattress had developed a leak that was not repairable but that blower sure was more useful in the end made a nice case had a nice push button switch and yes thermal cut out and to avoid burning out the motor since it was an interim Duty motor but people may not realize this

That delivery truck is quite a cool concept, if the track was extendable you could virtually make a messenger or delivery system around a floor of a house. P.S not forgot about the Battery door, had an unexpected Birthday trip that kinda wiped things out so I'm hoping I'll have enough to cover it next month so I'll get in contact then

The roller coaster set was released as a larger set as Super Skyway in Japan with an additional car and more track, as well as the charge base having a built-in motorized timer that automatically catches and releases the train (you can even set how long the timer runs for). Very cool...
