Back then he alone had weapons nowadays the outlaws have more sophisticated arms and ammunition than the police. Looks like there are more corrupted police and politicians nowadays too.

He would have been shackled just like the police force today, with agencies like amnesty international, the PCA and other human rights agencies. BTW where have you been, didn’t you see what happened to SORTT?? They were disbanded because the US embassy threatened us with repercussion for violating human rights laws for extrajudicial killings. borough operated in a time where anything goes, but in today’s world he would have been brought up on human rights violations or crimes against humanity.

During the 70's, 80's and 90's drug running was very rampant in Trinidad not to mention drug related killings. It was a known fact among citizens that many top business men and politicians were up to their necks in the drug trade. In reality, many of the wealthy people in Trinidad presently owe their wealth to participation in the drug trade. The fact that Burrows lasted as long as he did is because of his tenacity and his ability to get in front of whatever they were able to trow at him. But, you can only dodge those "bullets" for so long.
