My grandmother’s neighbour has been taking her to church every Sunday for the past year ever since she had to stop driving due to her poor sight, I knew he was and that she often had Sunday lunch with his family, I was amazed when I finally got to meet this kind man to discover he was a Muslim originally from Afghanistan, when I got to ask him why he had gone to so much trouble when he didn’t even go to the same church, he smiled and said because it was important to her and he actually enjoyed having an hour to himself to just relax every Sunday morning. My grandmother is my only living relative and it is comforting to know that she has great neighbours and friends who have been wonderful to her as I live a six hour flight away, people are great.

These stories are all so sweet, but the little toddler putting flowers on his mama’s grave broke me. My God. He said “mama” and was so confused as to why he didn’t see her. Sweet Jesus. I hope his dad can meet a real nice lady to love with all of his heart soon.

While acts of kindness, many are not actually random. Jumping into a river to save someone from drowning when/if you see them fall in is random, it is not planned in advance. Getting your Dad a puppy for his birthday is kind, but took several days of planning. So not random.
