I'm an elder, 66, and while I greatly appreciate all of their talents, I especially enjoy their songwriting and messages. I heard you say you have already watched Suga's 'Daechwita'. If you haven't already, I hope you will take the time to watch the explanation for this video (and any other explanations when provided) because their songs sometimes have much deeper meaning, especially from a Korean perspective, and I wouldn't want you to miss out on how brilliant they are!! Some reactors who do strictly BTS content, have been doing it for 2-3 years and will STILL say they've never seen an older video or clip before. Ha! There's just SO much content! But, react to the things you want to react to. You can be Army and still enjoy other content. Thanks for reacting!! This is a great video and introduction to BTS. Idk why people are complaining that one or some of the members didn’t get covered enough but in reality it did. It got all the basics from all the members very well. Idk why people are complaining…it is an introduction video not a video that gives every detail of every member. That would take forever. Idk what more they want…. Anyways sorry for the long ramble. It isn’t for you please ignore the ramble….Thanks for reacting and enjoyed your reaction. Hope it helped and your learned a lot… BTS are special and one in a life time artists. 💜 Also most of their songs that sound like love songs or can be written and interpreted as a love song usually have a deeper meaning to it beyond love between bf/gf. BTS just write so well that you can interpret their music in so many ways. The leader position is actually normal in kpop but it isn’t like the person in charge or the main person in the group (western definition). The leader is just someone who bridges the company and the group together. RM is an amazing leader and honest one the best I have ever seen, he deserves all the praises in the world for his leadership skills. It amazes me that he became the leader of the biggest group in the world and he is so young. He has a lot of pressure on him but it does it with such grace. Also the members support him and each other with grace as well.

Absolutely yes. I’ve seen those complaints but I agree with you, I didn’t notice that because I think the video conception was impeccable, straight giving brief info about bts. Also I’m starting to really understand their song can be interpreted differently, as you please just like you said: gf/bf, romantic relationship, bts/army, one/family, or even relationship with self. It’s amazing that a group like this can exist. And I understand about the leather position, being a bridge can be so frustrating, you get all the blame before it gets to the group 😄. You have a long way to go with BTS contents since they have more than 300 songs in various genres (received more than 900 awards so far), so many dance practices, live performances, interviews, docus, variety programs and more ..... BTS members don't accept gifts or presents and only accepts written notes or cards. So Armys thought of charity donations in their name for good causes just like what BTS do. BTS was part of our household in waves. My daughter was a huge fan in middle and high school. She spent hours learning the choreography to Dope, Not Today, Fire. Korean Age vs International Age - difference is 1-2 years depending on if their birthday has been.... In most videos, including this one, they are giving Korean ages so you will need to adjust. (So JK was only 13 when he joined Big Hit and 15 when he debuted. ) In Korea when you are born you are considered 1 year old. Then on 01 Jan every year you add another year to your age, no matter what your birthdate is. .... Year of birth - International age at Debut on 13June13 (Year and age became trainee) Jin 1992 - 20 yo (2011 - 18yo) Suga 1993- 20 yo (2011 - 17yo) JHope 1994 - 19 yo (2011 - 17yo) RM 1994 - 18 yo (2010 - 15yo) Jimin 1995 - 17 yo (2012 - 16yo) V 1995 - 17 yo (2011 - 15yo) JK 1997 - 15 yo (2011 - 13yo) Rule of thumb - if it's before their birthday - subtract 2 years to get international age. if it's after their birthday - subtract 1 year to get their international age. EG: TaeHyung (V) born 30 Dec 1995 ...... current International Age 27 (Korean Age 29). ... 2 years difference So Tae born 30 Dec 95 is 1 year old, then on 01 Jan 96 he is 1 more year older (so they would say he is 2 years old, when we would say he is 2 days old.) So he was considered 29 in Korea since 01 January, we would say he is 27 turning 28 in Dec. It's a different way of looking at age, from new years day - Tae is living his 29th year (since conception) - instead of - he turned 27 (since birth).... No hate plss understand me, Somepeople like americans or foreigners calling bts or other kpop groups "BOY BAND" which is not common or often use, the boy band was only common and often used by americans group like Westlife, beatles, one directions. But actually in korea if there's a group it was common and often called "Kpop Idols or Idols" and many people still saying and compare that bts is beatles generation which is im ok👍 There's a army saying that bts is beatles 21 century but yoongi said they are honored to called beatles of 21 century but yoongi said that they want to be BTS 21 century💖

Absolutely. I understand what you mean. And I think suga is right, as much as the Beatles were amazing, bts is not Beatles, they are just amazing in their own way and in their time. I think the name BOY BAND refers because they are a group of boys in a music band, but they’re certainly more than that and they are incomparable. There will always be those who don't mind pausing and those who do. You can't possibly please us all. If you do choose to pause a lot, those who don't like it will find others who don't pause and vice versa. 2 - Length of a video is also dependent on you - and you alone! When their song "Butter" dropped, millions of us literally watched butter melt...for an HOUR! They got us good with that one. LOL As ARMY, there are VERY few of us care about how long a video is. Yes that is Wembley Stadium on the second night and I was there. They sold it out 2 nights in a row the tickets went on sale and they were all sold in 90minutes. They sell out the biggest stadiums in the world in minutes.

I love when you said “BTS is not a boy band, it’s a lifestyle” not exact quote, but you are right. Once you fall for BTS, it becomes part of your soul. their wisdom is beyond their years, and they make me want to be a better person. I have been ARMY for 2 years and Spring Day was the song that hooked me. I heard it only a few months after my best friend of 23 years took her own life. No only the make up thing but because RM and Suga were from the underground HIpHop and RM was battle rapping against much older Rappers and wiping the floor with them. They said he and Suga had 'sold out' for becoming part of a Kpop group. They were also not welcome in Kpop in general being told they were too ugly to be Kpop Idols.

I know for sure that BTS does not belong to you, and I can join anytime I want, I can be army anytime I feel like, or not! I’m making K-pop reaction now because I’ve got many requests from people that are genuinely army and are happy to introduce bts to new people so that army can keep on growing. And the more I discovered K-pop, the more I’m amazed. For your info, all these videos on my channel are copyrighted means the are not monetised, if you happen to see an ad, most of that income goes to the owner of the original video, they claim all the analytics including the money generated. So wether I’m making K-pop reactions genuinely for love or not, you don’t know anything about it! The suspicious one is you: because if you’re a true army and you looooveee bts that much, you’ll want people to talk about them that way their name and work is spreading all over the world. Lastly please don’t come with toxic energy here, I may be a new army but I can realise that BTS and true armies are all about love and togetherness. So goodbye 👋

@@Chrisreactions23 Nice reply to a small-minded (hopefully temporary) take on personal discovery of BTS. The recent explosion in the number of BTS reaction videos is a bit sad, to me at least, because it shows how many of us weren't there when they needed our appreciation. But it also shows how joyfully delighted and impressed people are when they finally listen and see what amazing artists and genuine human beings they all are. I'm 68 and only discovered them a year ago, and it's a wonder how they changed my attitude about life and what I want to do, to be, to feel. The sense of community with reactors is a reminder that what you can't seem to explain to other people is indeed real. I'm glad they are in my lifetime, and will support them individually, collectively, in any direction they want to explore. Looking forward to 2025-6!

I’m starting to see my life in an other eye. I’m wanting to be better, do better, achieve big, so on… I think, the explosion of bts reactors is positive thing because it shows that their goal of touching people globally is achieved, people recognise and appreciate their talent finally. I swear I haven’t see any reaction channel that has come across bts music and say negative criticism, everyone appreciate their talent, not to flatter them because we are gaining nothing, but it’s because people are amazed by what they are doing, inspired by their story, fascinated… their hardship is paying off now, they are recognised globally . I have an issue with taylors video in that she gives less than two minutes time to Jimin who is so multitalend and very very beautiful some army have a tendency to shade him and I do not like that. All 7 members deserve equal time they are too important to skip over.

even though jimin might have had slightly less time, the video covers the same topics about jimin that it covers for the other members. what he did pre debut, after he came into the group, his live streams, his other talents, his singing and dancing ability. just because the clips happen to be slightly shorter doesn't mean it was purposeful. 😊

I practically have this video memorized. I would absolutely sit with you and talk for however long you needed to get your thoughts and feelings out. I share some of your feelings. For me, BTS is more than just a music group. Through their music, I have found what I had been looking for my entire life. The ability to finally accept myself as myself and to love that self. With the added bonus of striving to IMPROVE myself. I heard them for the first time in 2018, but I did not truly find them until 2020. Or as the saying is, they found me. For me the year 2020 was some of the darkest moments of my life. I'm also in my 40s. Yet these wonderful young men have brought beauty and understanding to me. They've got a good catalogue of music. So yeah, it'll take you a while, but please take your time. The journey is part of the fun. They lyrics are deep and meaningful. As you have seen so far, their live performances are where they really shine. If you stumble across a video without lyrics, I recommend both (1) doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com/ and (2) www.bangtansubs.com/lyrics for pretty good translations and understanding for the lyrics.
