Epiphany is the song that made me ARMY. I bawled my eyes out the first time I heard it because I was at a really low point in my life and desperately needed to hear that message. It *litterally* saved my life and inspired me to make some difficult but much needed drastic changes to my life and it's become my life mantra going forward. That's just one of the many reasons Jin's my bias. I even discovered that Jin's piercingly clear voice physically impacts something in my nervous system which has allowed me to cut my pain medication by 2/3 by using his voice as sound therapy (I have a painful chronic illness). Totally blew my mind when I found out. 🤯 Couple that with the caring community I found in this amazing fandom and I'm ARMY for life. But it was Epiphany that started my long fall down the beautiful purple rabbit hole that is BTS. - a danish ARMY, age 47 💜

Epiphany has become my favourite song of all time, I have couple of favourite songs but they are favourite just because of the musical aspect like melody or instrumental music aspect but epiphany is favourite because of all that and more: lyrics meaning, Jin voice, together they make a remedy to my mind. I cried every single time listening to this song.. because I've always been harsh on myself.. if anything bad happened, I'll always blame the it on me.. when my life/relationship fails, I put the blame on myself only.. it was up to a point where I always thought "whatever thing that I'll do, I'm for sure to mess things up, because I'm just a f'n sh**y person".. When I first listened and read the lyrics to this song, I broke into tears, uncontrollably.. What is Jin's nickname? Worldwide Handsome (or just "WWH" now). Why? Because he made the "nickname" for himself. Why? Because he was insecure about himself. This story...to me, it's not a song, it IS a story, just put to music...came about because he was finally learning to let go...of people's perceptions about him as well as his own perceptions of himself. Is he fully there yet/truly loves himself? We may never know. But it is inspiration to US, as well as himself, who the #1 person in our lives should be. NOT saying dump your spouse or ignore your kids or anything like that, of course!!!...but..we DO need to take time for ourselves and put ourselves first at least every now and then. We need to know that it's perfect *not* to be perfect. Personally, I think those perceived imperfections is exactly what MAKES us perfect. That mole you hate? Someone loves. Those freckles you can't stand? Someone out there finds them adorable. Thicc thighs, not so flat stomach...the list goes on...someone out there loves you just the way you are...so why can't you? We get so caught up in putting ourselves down, we need to learn when/how to pull ourselves back up. I don't think that sentiment has ever been expressed so well as Jin did in this song.
