It would only be later when I saw the 'mine detector selfie' thing that I realised he was an actual content creator and that wasn't just a one-off skit.

Legit question...you mentioned being asked about games...as a streamer, do you not have the privilege to choose what you play and when? Or is it a personal preference to create a schedule and stick to it?
@KipReacts13 күн бұрын
Good question. So there's a couple lines of logic that go into that. You can stream pretty much whatever, but metrics can and will become a concern. I love Resident Evil 5 for instance, but people don't necessarily like to watch Resident evil 5. I divide it into 2 groups. 1. Variety streamer - Play whatever, whenever. Your selling point is how you interact and react to the game you're playing. The benefit is that you can effectively do whatever, but you aren't tied to something inherently. The way I see this interacting is that I'll have a core amount of people who will watch and hang out. But, there are people who only want to see me play Fallout New Vegas, or Destiny 2, or [insert other game/genre here]. The benefit is that you're also not tied to a specific game or genre. So if something like Destiny 2 or Halo is in a content drought or on an downhill trend you have the ability to branch out easier. 2 X Streamer - You play a select few things, if not a single thing, and that's your entire schtick. If I played exclusively League of Legends or Marvel Rivals, I can attract a core audience that wants to engage with that game and that subject. I feel it's a lot easier sell than trying to be a variety streamer, but you are inherently tied to whatever your playing or doing. In short, technically I can play whatever. If I'm playing Resident Evil 5 and it's settings 2 viewers, could be time be better spent elsewhere doing other things? Sometimes you don't really care because sometimes you're just in the mood for Resident Evil 5. When you're looking at growth opportunities and variance, other considerations get made.
