Patulong nmn po sa prob. na to po 😭A swimmming pool can be filled through its inlet pipe and then emptied through its outlet pipe in a total of 8hrs. If water enters through its inlet and simultaneously allowed to leave through its outlet, the pool is filled in 7.5hrs. How long would it take to fill the pool w/ the outlet closed?

x = time it takes to fill the tank y = time it takes to empty the tank Rate Time 1/x t 1/y 8-t 1/x (t) - 1/y (8-t) = 1 1/x - 1/y = 1/7.5 Solve for x.
