I don't think there will be a mandatory law as too many variables come into play with children. I do however, think that it would be wise for guys to just get it out the way so there is no questions regarding paternity, but forcing people to do DNA testing is another matter.

That’s what Paternity Fraud is, but you have to prove that the mother knowingly made a false statement about the paternity of her child (casing a man to sign the birth certificate, pay child support, etc). The catch here is that one has to show that the mother named the man the father knowing that the baby was not his. If there was a potential- then it’s not fraud, just poor judgement.

He said when she was a baby he would hold her up to a mirror and try to see something that resembles him, but he never did. He paid $500 a month for child support. Meanwhile, your husband should've gone to family court to establish paternity, and a DNA test would've been ordered to confirm or deny parentage, assuming that he wasn't married to the mother of his alleged daughter. When a woman lies to a man about paternity and he signs the birth certificate in good faith believing he is the father and later discovers it was a lie and a DNA test proves it, it should be much easier to get his name removed and not have him be legally responsible for child support. It should be easy for him to file a paternity fraud case against her and make her pay him for the financial cost he’s out with plus for the emotional damage done.

I am a grandmother of a boy that is not my grandchild. He lived with me, and I loved him dearly, and his affection towards granny was huge. His mother grabbed him the moment we learned the truth, and we have not been able to see him since. This is 10 years ago. He is is still my first, and very much beloved grandchild.
