Spot on! Same on my ‘05 2500 hemi. Changed out 3 coil packs, spark plugs were at .072-.095. Yuck. Still coding random misfires. Sensor did the job. Awesome job. Watch ten other KZbinrs, boring long winded. Keep up the great work🫡

To all 5.7 hemi owners with over 90K miles. Replace the spark plugs (stock replacement nothing fancy), egr, camshaft position sensor, crankshaft position sensor, clean your throttle body, and last, but not least remove, and clean your fuel injectors. All that can get a little pricey if you hire a mechanic, but doing it yourself is very reasonable. You will instantly notice better power, reliability, and mpg. I've done this on my last three high milage hemis, and they really woke up, and performed like they were intended to.

i wish saw this sooner. its the middle of winter and my dads ram is dead in the water with a no start. i saw the engine light was blinking plug my scanner in and it said crankshaft position sensor. so now i gotta wait till i get a decent day to do it. as soon as i get it running im gonna go buy parts for it and clean it thanks for the help man

@@BurgaBea_Stro Something I forgot to include is replacing the 02 sensors. Especially the two ahead of the catalytic converters on both banks. The ones after the cats just monitor cat performance. Doesn't hurt to replace those as well if you have the time and budget

Started out with check engine light. Retrieved code p0301. Did some research thought it was fuel injectors. Code changed to p0303. Found this video. Bought new crankshaft position sensor. Spent 15 minutes each morning for 3 mornings trying to get old one out. Took my time sprayed wd40 finally came out. Put in new one fired up truck no check engine light and codes are gone. 2005 Dodge Ram 4.7 liter

If this doesn't work, I had the same issue and I couldn't find anything that worked on the forums and neither could a couple mechanics, but after about a year I finally narrowed down all the issues, but I had found the problem to be originally a pretty dirty throttle body, and that just made it dump too much fuel destroying an egr valve, 1 cat, and all 4 oxygen sensors by the time I actually figured it out. It was a real pain cause every one of those parts have the same symptoms when there bad.

The dumping of fuel is caused by the EVAP system malfunction. If you follow the hose from the purge solenoid to the intake manifold, that is supposed to send fuel vapors from the charcoal canister into the intake at certain times. But

Actually ended up being carbon build up. Cleaned the throttle body and let a couple of cans of fuel additive run through and it all cleared up. No more problems

So I was dealing with the same code on my boss truck amd we replaced both crank and cam sensors spark plugs multiple times o2 sensors and even a few fuel injectors and nothing fixed it until yesterday that we decided to change the only sensor we haven't replaces the coolant temperature sensor and it was exactly the problem so if you're having this code start with that sensor good luck

I got a 05 300c with the 5.7l has a misfire cyl8 code have changed coil pack done tune up had camshaft looked at last thing is to remove the head but first I'll try this. Thanks!

I just traded my 05 Hemi ram that I replaced 4 of these sensors on over the 9 years I had it. Other than that and one egr valve it never had a problem

Did your truck have an awful clunk in the front? (2005) Checked over my buddies and couldn't find anything. Read the entire internet it seems regarding what it could be. The steering rack I'm lead to believe. An 05 thing apparently. Had you had any trouble with yours?

J.s way to late probably but that clunk is sway bar bushings. I changed to moogs it stopped for awhile then switched to prothain. Sold it with no clunks years later

unplugged my Mass air flow sensor on my 09' 1500 seems to run fine wasn't running rough like it was drove around for 2 mins all fixed. Just have check engine light on because it's unplugged

Hey Debossgarage I am 14 about to turn 15 and I would like to start working on larger equipment. I have been working on smaller engines since grade 7. I have a big assortment of my own tools but I would like if you could make a video showing all or most of the tools needed for working on tractors, since my birthday and Christmas is coming I am only asking for tools but I'm not sure what I need. Hey Rich, this question is kind of a long shot but you seem like the type of guy who can fix just about anything. Have you ever messed with trying to fix an air leak on one of the back windows on an extended cab GMT800? I have an air leak in the back passenger side window on my 07 classic duramax and I absolutely cannot fix it. I've tried the trick to tighten the latches, replaced the door seal, and even bought the little $30 latch extensions from ebay guaranteed to fix it. Any advice you can give would be great, love the videos and keep up the good work!

Hey I did a cab swab on my 07 ram 1500 switch all the wiring harness in the cab including the one on the floor switch the steering column and everything running everything for a 2007 truck and it won’t run seems like it’s trying to say that it’s storming

I installed a Remann 5.7 in my 2003 1500 and it would start but only after pumping the gas pedal like mad but once I turned it off it didn't want to start again so I had the reading done on the obd and it said a bad camshaft position sensor but once I changed it now there is no gas to the plugs they are bone dry , I pushed on the ballbearing on the fuel rail and there is pressure . I would appreciate any and all help I would love to have it on the road before winter I have three kids and can't afford to take it into the repair shops , Thanks for any help .

I was considering buying a pristine quad cab 2wd with a 5.9 with misfire, rough idle, intermittently runs to sometimes no start. For 2000$ so it could be 1 of a 150 parts or a combination of many parts to resolve the problem? If i can get it for a grand i may but its a total crap shoot

I have an 07 dodge charger rt radiator cracked ... replaced the radiator went to turn it over and it putted like it was gonna die .. it idles rough and eventually dies I haven't driven it cuz it's still up on Jack stands so I replaced crank sensor and had a code for knock so replaced that.. as well I had a p0300 code for random misfire so I replaced all 16 spark plugs check engine went away for a few minutes.. car is still doing the same thing except now I have a blinking check engine light and it smells like it's burning rich I'm told... cannot pull codes with blinking check engine light.. no smoke from anywhere fluids look good not mixed... it's got 113500 miles any ideas

I've been dealing with this issue for a year now and have dumped shit load of money into it. Keep getting p0300 and a p0306 Ive only had the truck a year and have already put a baseball sized hole in the block so had to put a new motor in. I can't believe Dodge made such a crap motor and sold it

I have a random misfire on my dodge charger 08 3.5L it throws the code p0300. I checked is not the ignition coils neither the fuel injectors. I changed the egr and spark plugs its still doing the same it has a random misfire loss of permormance it makes a spit and sputter noise in the muffler. Only thing i havent done is a compression test

Yes i did. It was a bent exahust valve. The timing belt broke with the previous owner b4 me so he just put a new timing belt on it so it wasn't running good when i bought it. I did a compression test on it one cylinder had no compression so i pulled the head off and yea it was a exahust valve

it went from p0303 but I had to change the fuel injector then it went to p0302 so wen change the spark plug and switch the wires and now it's saying p0300. we change all of the sparkplugs the wires the ignition coil pcv valve and the air filter and now it's still misfiring so if I change the crankshaft position sensor will that stop the misfires

If you did all that and replaced the spark plugs and wires, plus you also replace both: the crankshaft and the camshaft sensors, then probably, more likely you might have a bad lifter. Need to check the camshaft. BUT before you go further into the whole camshaft stuff, first you be sure you've set with the gauge the right gap in the spark plugs following the specifications of your truck: 0.40 or 0.43 inches...it depends of the year.

Yeah for a cleaner burn, with the big hemi combustion chamber, the fuel can't burn across the piston entirely from one plug.
