I read Manacled last month and really loved it, it is super dark but I guess I’m one of those people that want to read that sometimes?! It’s definitely not for everyone, I described it to my husband and he truly didn’t know how I was reading it. What got me through it being so long was I listened to the podcast on Spotify, definitely helped! ❤

Not mayo like a condiment, mayo for the maillard reaction! Instead of butter, you use the Mayo to get the browning/crust! (also fun fact, you can you mayo on meat to get a good sear as well lol. You cannot taste it!)

Ooooh, Manacled wrecked me!! Can't wait to hear your thoughts. For reference, Manacled is 370k words. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is 257k words and had about 766 pages. So yes, it is HUGE as you say! (Also, on a sort of related note The Handmaid's Tale is worth reading too).
